Is there anything - fannish or non-fannish - that you'd like to see me post about? (I reserve the right to access/friends-lock anything that's too personal.)

Off to happy snoozeland!
misscam: (Lloyd - ragged)
This week is going to be murder on me, I know already. But after this major project is done at work, I can get a bit time off and that shall be sweet indeed. Would be nice to have time for fannish activities and all that jazz.

In other news:
Europe is still suffering effects of Iceland's volcano.

But here in Norway, air space has opened again for now. So dear Iceland, don't you let Katla blow now as well and make it even worse, mmkay?

How heartbreaking is this story?

And that is just one reason I am proud my little country made marriage gender neutral. Because two men who loved each other for that long deserves other people honouring their commitment too, dammit.

Bolivians want the world to compensate them for melting glaciers.

Which does create the interesting question - if you cause harm far away indirectly, should you, and if so how, be held to account? Not to mention, many people would argue the harm is more nature's fault than humanity's, but that debate is still ongoing.

To finish on a cheerier note, a meme I nicked from my flist: Pick 15 of your ships and write down a quote for each of them. Let your flist guess. Looking them up on IMDb or Google is cheating.

Busy week. Adapting to new schedule and new workload and weekend is bliss. Mmm, finally time to sleep. Also turned very visibly autumn here, with rain and winds with a hint of colder days. What fun. I think I'll do another photo round once autumn sets a little more though - it has a certain beauty to it here.

Anything in particular you want to see a picture of, ask now or hold your peace until next time.

The Classified sections sometimes turn out stuff I wonder at the backstory of, like this one: Looking for a woman by the name of Bjorg Enger who in 1945 lived at Kloster Road 51 Skoyen, Oslo Norway with her parents. It was my father's dying wish to contact this person.

Says he was a WWII veteran, though I wonder slightly which side he might have been fighting for. Could be British or American of course, but Allied forces didn't come to Norway until after the Germans had surrendered here. (And then it was a very small force.) Some German soldiers did fall in love with Norwegian women - the consequences for the women after the war ended were usually dire. (The woman has one English last name, but it could be her married one for all I know.)

I wonder what the story is here, I really do.

Meanwhile, Gaddafi is apparently petioning the UN for Switzerland to cease to exist. Wow. That dude has some impressive gall and batshit. The UN headquarters is actually in Switzerland, for one thing. For the other... Dude, wtf?

I was slightly taken aback by the most recent review here. It's not like I was planning to leave in unfinished back when I was uploading it, so... Um, sorry?

Meme via [profile] mingsmommy (much delayed, because I have the mind of Swiss cheese):

1. Leave me a comment saying anything random, like your favorite lyric to your current favorite song saying "meow!"

3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be asked, you will ask them five questions.

I've been invaded by family, and thus have been mightily distracted. My brother and his girlfriend have come visit for a month from Holland. Didn't even tell me they were coming until they were here, very naughty.

They're also quite cute. Bro immediately nicked my Sims 3, proceeded to make a household with himself and gf and then had babies. Twins, as it turned out. He's been happily shairng how they're progressing. Heh. One of these days I will become an aunt, I suspect.

Also, there has been posting on [profile] bsg_remix and I might even have done more than one story. Humhum. You will see on the reveal. Some very interesting stories posted, covering a wide variety of characters and topics. Worth checking out. Also I am doing one more remix on a private basis, with a [personal profile] lotus79 story.

Meanwhile, this story out of Germany has just depressed me so much. A woman who happens to be a muslim gets harassed by guy, takes him to court over it. He stabs her eighteen times in the actual courtroom and when the police come storming in, they accidentally shoot her husband who is trying to help her because they think that is the attacker. So he's in critical condition and she was even pregnant when she was killed.

Seriously, Ireland? Seriously? Then you have this story, which... Yeah, the horrible things people do for money.

A meme I rather liked and nicked:
• Post ten of any pictures currently on your hard drive that you think are self-expressive.
• NO CAPTIONS! It must be like we're speaking with images and we have to interpret your visual language just like we have to interpret your words.
• They must ALREADY be on your hard drive - no googling or flickr! They have to have been saved to your folders sometime in the past. They must be something you've saved there because it resonated with you for some reason.
• You do NOT have to answer any questions about any of your pictures if you don't want to. You can make them as mysterious as you like. Or you can explain them away as much as you like.

Pictures! )

And what's up with you all?
misscam: (Nothing but the rain)
What to say.

Well, Norway's had very warm weather and I spent a lot of time outside getting a tan. Then cold weather came and clashed with the warm and wham bam we had thunderstorm on Friday and Saturday night. Fierce, too. I woke up at 3a.m. from the noise and it last until 5ish. Really loud, can't remember having seen anything like it in Norway before. Pouring rain too, 88mm within two hours. Some pictures from Friday's storm over Oslo here and over this area. Plus, it started some forest fires and the temprature fell over 10 degrees.

Quite freaky, really. On the bright side, bad weather made it all the easier to stay in and write some. Can't tell you what though, it's secret.

Doctor Who movie to be announced at ComicCon?

If so, I sense waaaaaaaaaank to follow. Maybe the wankshelter will have to restock again.

Fandom quiz!

If you get word that some readers are displeased a fic of yours didn't warn for dubcon, do you:

1) Argue it isn't dubcon
2) Apologise, add a duncon warning
3) Have a wanky fit over how you'd never ever write dubcon and anyone reading it like that must be meanies
4) Write a fanfic mocking the concept of dubcon

I give option four! That's certainly a new one, yes. Huh. Name looks vaguely familiar as well.

Meanwhile, if you'd like to look at something funnier, here are naked Swedes dancing with crispbread. No, really!

If you were promoting a new community - with a VIP even, allegedly - and you're not allowing mentions of slash ships, is it really a good idea to pimp it in a specifically slashy comm? And one that allows only promoting of places with the same focus?

Sometimes, you really should look at which comms you're posting to before you start the mad spamming, I say. Recently, someone included [community profile] time_and_chips in a mad spamming spree, only it got stuck in moderation because poster was new member. And because it contained a link to fanfic without a proper header, I kicked it back and told her (I presume) to repost with a proper header (and helpfully included a link with how to make one). So she did. Only she posted to the wrong comm. I guess she posted to so many she couldn't keep track of which was which. I laughed a little, because I'm mean.

Meanwhile, in Supernatural fandom, there appears to be a bit of a bruhaha surrounding a 'secret' posted to [profile] spnsecrets of a friendslocked post. There's a lot of arguing about it here and some here and here, mod eventually removes it after request by the poster whose flock it was, then declares posting screencaps of friendslocked material is okay and will be allowed and only taken down at specific request from whoever's flock it is.

Um. Now correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that a rather big fandom no-no? The person might be totally batshit insane, but I still find reposting friendslocked stuff uncool. Maybe I'm missing something since I'm not in the fandom and maybe that's just as well.

Also, a reminder: This coming week is Eurosong week. Two semi-finals and finale on Saturday. Yes. It's time for that madness again. Bring your alcohol! And did you know there was just released a movie about the junior version?

Comment here saying you want to play. I will find seven things off of your profile and you have to post in your journal with why you are interested in them. At that time, I will comment and squee. And possibly also participate in the fun by having you choose seven of my interests. We will go round and round and round.

Do you remember Hellfire? I bet those of you who do wish you didn't. For those of you that don't, this is Hellfire, infamous for her hate of Islam and her love of incest - the real kind. With her father. Who made sexual advances to her when she was 15 (but that's okay! They only consummated when she was 19! Really! NO), and that she's apparently still in a relationship with.

And now she's back once more to defend her and daddy's twu wub. (I gagged a little in my mouth as I wrote that.) It starts on page two and goes on.

In my experience (and in the experience of the great many incestuous people I've taken the time to befriend online) having an incest relationship is about learning to be friends, family and lover all at the same time. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible for the family role and the lovers role to not be in conflict, actually what happens is that two roles peacefully coexist. Most people have a natural aversion to incest, but for whatever reason, some of us don't; I just happen to be one of those people. I have obviously had non-incest relationships as well, but I always end up going back to my dad (he's got such a sweet personality and I think he's sexy). Overall I'm far more attracted to related people than unrelated people, and I'm not ashamed of this fact, it's a part of who I am. (...) Incest IS pure and perfect. It is all types of love rolled into one.

No dear, having an incest relationship is a lot of the time about having been fucked up enough by your family that you can't see beyond it. Your father is not the love of your life. Your father is a fucking bastard who has screwed with you in more than one way and still is. I bet my waffle he is the source of your Islamophobia too.

I'm always so torn between wanting to feel sorry for her and wanting to scream at her. But then I remember her mentioning wanting to have children and raise them in incest-y glory and shag them when they come of age, and my brain just wants alcohol.

ETA: For extra fail, she invokes Martin Luther King for her 'yay incest!' cause:

One person can change the course of history, like Martin Luther King and how he fought for the equal rights of black people. If a single person can change the course of history, don’t you think that even a handful of us can make a difference for all incestuous people, even though we must go about our battle in a different way at first? All we need is enough faith in ourselves, and enough faith that the truth about the positive side of incest, our online testimonies, can win over the hearts and minds of non-incestuous people. I for one do have that faith.

Meanwhile, tomorrow is May 1st and gloriously a public holiday. I have serious writing plans and am working on three fics at once. Oops. The weather is supposed to be fab tomorrow as well, so I might curl up somewhere outside and write. I love May. It's the best month of all and hopefully will be this year too.

I got tagged by [livejournal.com profile] meryl_edan for ten random facts about me.

1. I was born during the cross country women's relay in the 1980 Olympics, and my father was pissed because the smoking waiting room only had a black and white telly. I was also two weeks overdue and a not-easy birth.
2. My reading speed was tested several times in school, as it's something like three times the average and they wondered if I really could read that fast and still comprehend what I was reading. I can.
3. Listening to football reports on the radio on summer Sundays while reading a book in the garden is about my most favourite thing in the world, and could only be better if I had a hammock and some hot guy was serving me cool drinks during.
4. I was the headline footage on a national newsbroadcast when I was ten - in red tights and a pink Minnie Mouse sweater.
5. My favourite candy is a kind of pepper candy known as Turkish Pepper. It's actually from Finland.
6. I don't like gold jewelry that much and vastly prefer silver.
7. I don't go anywhere without a book in my bag.
8. I'm a raid leader in my World of Warcraft guild, and is also known as the one who makes naughty jokes, have three WoW-'husbands' in a harem and is sometimes nicknamed 'the human megaphone'. Yes, well.
9. I love football. Twice a year, I go to football matches with my mother. To watch her team and my team against a local one, as we both like teams from Northern Norway. My father doesn't care about teams, only football tables. Hah. When they go abroad, I always get a text message like two minutes after all the matches are done, demanding results.
10. I sing "Beautiful Savior" at the family Christmas dinner, and my brother reads how Jesus was born from the Bible - this despite my whole family being atheist. Yeah, I don't know. It's just tradition.

I tag no one. Hah.
misscam: (Are you there?)
So quite a few people wanted me to take pictures and post them during this holiday. Anything in particular you want to see pictures of? I'm taking suggestions. Inside, outside, locally abouts and in the nearest city could all be done.

- Bill Adama, is that you posting to [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets? Awww. (Spoilers for Daybreak there.)

- LOL, K9 the series trailer looks a bit... Kinda really, really bad.

- I'm sure most of you have seen this wank concerning Supernatural fandom by now, but still. I mention it anyway, because wow. I've watched like maybe three episodes of that show put together, but it sure seems to bring out some crazy.

- I was nominated in the [livejournal.com profile] smith_awards apparently - be interesting to see how that turns out. (And for Ten/Martha, heh. Figures it would be for a pairing I wrote very little for.) All the stuff related to the CoT/[livejournal.com profile] children_time awards has just made cynical, and really, wouldn't a yearly award or something be enough? Eh well. We'll see how both of those go.

- I'm a little in love with this screencap. I wants icon, but my skills suck. Can I bug one of you to make one?

- Dollhouse is probably going to be cancelled, right? I am pondering what shows to try (apart from L&O: UK) now that my beloved BSG is done with its run, but I'm hearing such varying reports of it and if it's to be gone soon anyway... Eh.

Moment of total '...': Parents announce that they are in fact getting married as soon as they can, filling out the paperwork already and could I be mum's maid of honour?

Right then.

To get my slight 'bwhuh?' over this, understand that my parents have been lovingly committed non-married for over 30 years, and used to joke they never got married because all their friends who did got divorced. This non-marriage worked swimmingly for them, and so I rather got used to their attitude about it all. (Norway's got laws that more or less equal marriage and 'cohabitation', as it is know. Basically a sort of common law marriage.) I even got fond of using them as an example that it's love it's about, rather than ceremonies.

Of course, then it turns out they're getting married for pension reason. Figures. (The 'less' part in the equal is how pension are done when a spouse/partner dies, though this will be changed in law soon enough.) They liked being contrary too much for this to be some romantic gesture. (And dad's 'pre-wedding' gift to mum? A new shelf. My parents. I love them, truly.)

Still, my parents are getting married. And I will be maid of honour. This might be kind of cute. And weird. My parents. Marriage. Huh.

In non-cute news, this story about a boy that abused a cat on a vid he uploaded to YouTube makes me want to cuddle my cats lots. A text version of the story is here.

The single mother of octuplets born in California last week is seeking $2m (£1.37m) from media interviews and commercial sponsorship to help pay the cost of raising the children. Nadya Suleman, 33, plans a career as a television childcare expert after it emerged last week that she already had six children before giving birth on Monday. She now has 14 below the age of eight.

14? Fourteen?! She already had six kids and some fertility doctor implanted multiple embryos anyway? Of course, it must and should be a woman's own choice if she wants to have a baby or not, and I will stand on the barricades for that until I'm senile and with chronic leg pain. But in vitro fertilization is meant to be a last chance of people who have troubles conceiving, it's not babies-to-order. If you're 33 and already have six children, then in vitro has done its job for you and done it well. I just... I hope she gets some help with those kids.

- Synagogue desecrated in Venezuela Oh FFS, not shit like this again. Look, I got serious issues with Israel and their conduct in Palestine too, but that some anti-Semetic (at times neo-Nazi) utter bull is trying to hijack that for their own fucked-up agenda? GET STUFFED.

- Norway's state investment fund continues to play it ethical and sold shares as well as blacklisted a top US and Canadian firm. I know not everyone always agrees with the choices for blacklisting, but as a part-owner of this fund, I am very happy it is not out just to make money, no concerns how. I like that we at least try to have some standards. Last year we blacklisted a mining firm over environmental concerns. And hey, we're apparently the biggest investor in Europe these days.

- A botched escape in New Zealand gets international fame. Why, you wonder? ...[A]pparently oblivious to the fact they are bound together by handcuffs, the fugitives run either side of the street lamp. I think you can see where that one is going.

- An airport customs officer in Liberia has been honoured by the West African country's president for refusing a bribe from a drug trafficker. Now, while it's sad that refusing a bribe is so uncommon you get an award for it, the fact that some do even when it's astronomical compared to what they earn is somewhat comforting.

Have recieved a job offer which involved me getting a police testimony today, confirming I have no criminal record. It's a bit weird having a stamped paper saying you're not a criminal, must admit. First time I've ever had to get that. And this job could spin my life in a slightly new direction. Huh. I can't tell all about it yet, but it could be good, yes. We shall see.

Merlin has started to air on Norwegian television, and so far it's not exactly Arthurian legend as I remember it. It seems to simultaneous be on crack and just about to turn into an orgy. Even the dragon seems keen! This could possibly be a good thing. Possibly. Worth keeping an eye on, y/n?

Life on Mars season one is on rerun meanwhile, and reminding me I really liked this show. I never felt like doing fandom for it, but the show was smashing. Hard to predict sometimes what gets me fannish and what just gets me faithfully watching.

The mother and brother of a 14-year-old Afghan rape victim face charges after they cut her open and removed her foetus without anaesthetic, it has been reported.

... They actually cut her open. Tied up in a barn. While she was fully conscious and aware. And this, to them, is honourable. I think I'm gonna be sick.

That poor girl. Get raped at 14 and then your family does that to you. I just have no words. This week is not doing much for my faith in humanity, I have to say.

In other stuff:

- Doctor Who fandom - persistent troll is at large. Keep your IP tracking on.

- An anthropology professor at the University of Hawaii is doing research into World of Warcraft. His comments about WoW are pretty interesting, and I'd totally read a book of his. Though going from living two years in Papua New Guinea to raiding hardcore in WoW must be some contrast.

- LJ offers an explanation for the latest stuff. Hurr.

- An interesting look at what happened to FanLib. I remember some of the wank when FanLib first launched, but I'd failed to notice it had died to Disney's touch.

- LESS THAN A WEEK TO NEW BSG. I'm not sure if I'm more excited or scared for what's to come.

- Life on Mars is reairing on Norwegian telly and I'd forgotten how awesome it is. Why haven't I bought the DVDs? Hmm. Must aquire that and Hustle. My poor already overflowing DVD shelves...

So, one of the reasons for a bit of gloom as alluded to in previous posts is that I am leaving my current job and my last day is Friday. This Friday. Now, I am really looking forward to a bit of holiday before I start the new one and all that, but I've grown very fond of people here and it's been an awesome time and one of the better places I've worked, so I'm feeling sad about it.

If you catch me being a bit blah this week, there's a large chunk of the reason. Changes are good, but changes are also really depressing, you know? They're ordering cakes for me and having a goodbye party and everyone's actually genuinely sad I'm leaving and it's really a bit emotional. I can't think about it, I'll cry. Wah.

On that philosophical bombshell, we wander into fandom matters of varying importance. Yarr.

From my flist: A blog post from a fan of David Tennant going to a Hamlet showing and witnessing a bit of fan-mobbing after. I read that and rather winced. Now, I freely admit to eyeing and enjoying males I find attractive and being a non-ashamed fan of my various likes, but... Oi. Fans and fame are also a scary things, which I've had a passing glimpse into via my father and yeah, oi :(

The of course I read this and sort of *headdesk*ed.

WHUT the fanfic edition. Erm. What?

This secret at [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets made me blink a bit. Now, I find Adama/Roslin quite hot and sweet and all (duh), but I'm not quite seeing the hotness with pregnancy. Then again, I don't get the babyfic thing at all. One of these days I'll have to write one just for that reason. (Not necessarily a A/R one. I did consider a human!Doctor/Rose one just for the chance to play with being mostly human, but eh well.)

Got recced at [livejournal.com profile] calufrax for a really old Doctor Who story of mine, which felt weird. Anyone else feel a bit disconnected to older stories? Guess it's because I don't remember the emotional investement and time spent writing it anymore. Feels a bit silly rather wanting comments on newer stuff, but then, I am frequently silly.

Also from the flist:

In the life and Norway:

- Python kills zookeeper. Okay, pythons are not as lethal as vemonous snakes, but would you let out a three-metre python?

- An article on an endangered whale species gets comments like this gem: The right whale lacks the capability to get out the way of ships, likes to loll around at the surface and essentially takes up space in the ocean. If you believe in survival of the fittest, then you should also agree that the right whale isn’t it. Save something else. I like to call that 'spot five fails', and *why* is this person taking up space in my gene pool?

- Well-known attorny admits to shooting at asylum centre where a 16-year-old aylum seeker was severly injured. Judging by the fact that he was also arrested for threatning passerbys at a motorcycle gathering with a knife, he does seem a bit unhinged. Is it bad of me hoping that is the motivation rather than racism? We haven't had a lot of racially motivated violence in Norway and in my naive hope, I was kinda wishing we could keep it so.

- Troubles in the US also effects Norway's oil fund. But I see it still grew to USD 370.8 billion - can I get a cha-ching?

- Norway's first war crime trial since the aftermath of WWII. Several tricky issues in there, including the fact that the guy wasn't a Norwegian citizen at the time of these alleged crimes and that they happened at a time Norway didn't have the laws he's now been tried after. Hmm.

Big cleaning project today. Funny how soon-arriving guests (in this case [livejournal.com profile] falena84) brings out the vanity and vacuum cleaner like nothing else, heh. Maybe that'll distract me from impending emotional wah-ness.

Anything up with you?

And in the spirit of friendly on the LJs and because I am vaguely bored, a Ask Anything Meme:

In fandom:

- Whoever posted this to [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets is on my wavelength, because I totally mentioned John Hannah as my choice for the Eleventh Doctor a little while back. YES PLEASE. And I think Helen Mirren should play a companion and Hugh Grant play her toyboy secretary that (accidentally) gets taken along and gets laid a lot. This is since I can't have Adama and Roslin be companions, obviously.

- Been reading [livejournal.com profile] cleolinda's Twilight reviews and specifically the Breaking Dawn ones for the fun of it. Am I the only one to find the concept of werewolves kinda hotter than vampires? Not that I'm that into either, just... Wolves are awesome, is all I'm saying.

- Whut. Pirates of the Caribbean still causes the wank? Wandering into other people's shipping wars is always a very dizzying experience. Especially when there are mushed ship names (KILL THEM WITH FIRE) all over and yeah, drink anyone? (The rum is never gone here.)

- Oh bugger, debate about whether or not rape can be forgiven in [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants just can't go well. This sub-thread rather wanted to make me throw up a little. Erk.

- I miss my BSG. Woe. But [livejournal.com profile] mingsmommy made an interesting post on why Battlestar Galactica ate her brain and you know, I rather do think sometimes stories set in a world not quite our own can show us our world all the more clearly. Because then we properly look at it - set in our world, we think we know what the world is like already. We can be blind to things that are familiar, you know?

In other news:

- Dogs may catch yawns, study suggests.
- 'Please kill me', says suspect in the bus beheading murder.
- Texas executes Mexican despite protests from the International Court of Justice.
- A US study of instant messaging suggests 'six degrees of separation' theory has something to it.
- Iraqi Palestinian refugees to settle in Iceland and Sweden.
- Berlusconi in breast cover-up row. (Oh BERLU)
Man tries to get rid of wasps; ends up burning down garage with car inside. (Totally LOL at his comment: "Maybe using lighter fluid wasn't such a good idea, but it was an accident all the same and the wasps are gone!")

I got tagged ages ago by [livejournal.com profile] bex245 and then got distracted. Bad me.
(A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs and replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
(B) Tag six people to do this quiz and those who are tagged cannot refuse. These people must state who they were tagged by and cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.

I rebel by tagging volunteers who says "20 me, baby!".

20 questions )

In stuff:

- ComicCon had a new BSG trailer. And A little spoiler ) WAAAANT. Some reports of it here and here, with spoilers obviously. Is it January yet?

- A plainly bizzare kidnapping plot involving a Dalek 'disguise'. WHUT.

- My BFF [livejournal.com profile] lotus79 wrote fic again, yay! Kara/Lee, with some Adama/Roslin just for me and so, so many bad puns we came up with together.

- Wanna bet on who the last Cylon is? You can!

- Dying boy, 8, 'marries' school sweetheart in last wish before telling mother: 'I can go now' (Sniffle.)

- When you're feeling a bit down, this blog of cake wrecks is a hoot.

- UK hit The Office to be remade in Russia. So that a US version, French version, Chilean version and Canadian version. I am impressed.

- Meanwhile, we had a mob attack on an asylum centre in Norway by other asylum seekers. Oi :(

Mmmm, sun and summer.

Nicked from [livejournal.com profile] lizbee: Post the first lines from your 25 most recent drafts. Although in this case, I used first paragraphs if they seemed to work better.

(In random order, finished or otherwise. Those finished have a link to them, so if they don't they're still a work in progress.)

This is a cut. It has nothing clever to say )

Friday, it was 30C. Today, it is 11C. Weather actually got fairly violent this weekend. So nowI'm showing definite symptons of cold. Including sexy cold-voice, but that doesn't make up for the rest of the fail of it. Plus I'm back at work. Oh Mondays, why are you made of such annoyance?

Meanwhile, arch-conservative Newt Gingrich has spent some time in Norway and concluded we're a great case for "green conservatism." Norwegian reactions? Eyerolling and scoffing. Bite me, Gingrich. We're not a campaign tool for McCain. How anyone can see a case for conservatism in Norway is beyond me - even our conservatives would pass for liberals quite easily in the US.

In the fannish news, mixed fan reactions to the Doctor Who finale makes BBC News. I note the ratings were quite high. Hmm. I still haven't made my mind up about the finale.

How I wish this video existed in good quality already. Mary does Number Six impersonation. Bwhaha. Speaking of BSG, have I mentioned yet today how much I want new episodes? Because I do. ARGH.

A meme I stole from [livejournal.com profile] cincoflex:
1. Comment to this post and ask me to post something from my computer. It could be a picture of my desktop.
It could be.... something else. :D
2. I MUST reply with whatever you ask me to produce, however embarrassing.
3. But then you post the meme to your lj and I get to demand random weirdness from your computer.

Soon home to nurse myself with hot drinks and snuggly cat. Whee.

(Germany - Turkey 3-2)

Oh, Germany. That was kinda unfair that you won, even if I cheered you and like you. And it didn't help the TV pictures kept falling out and I missed two of the goals. Grrr. Turkey really was the best team, but football is as unfair as life, what can I say?

Off to bed, but first a naughty meme I spied on my flist:

When you see this in your friends list, please comment with some smut.

Go on, I dare ya.

Mine, an untitled Adama/Roslin scene for a fic I don't even which is yet:

[livejournal.com profile] mingsmommy asked me five questions, and so I answer.

1. Congratulations [livejournal.com profile] misscam! You're going to be the first woman on Mars...the trip will take years, the mission will take years, the trip home will take years. You only have room for 6 hours of video...what are they?

One episode of Battlestar Galactica, which I will not pick until I've seen the whole series. That's 45 minutes. Mars Attacks!, just in case. Golden Goal's 'playing football with reverse binoculars' segment. Cinema Paradiso's kiss montage. That should all make about three hours, which lets me bring along BBC's Pride and Prejudice to top it off.

2. What's the best thing about where you live?

It has strawberry fields almost right outside my window, and in summer, you smell that.

3. One fandom: you can undo anything the writers did...which fandom, what event and why?

If BSG doesn't kill Adama and Roslin in some horrid way so I have to go and change that, I would pick Silk Stalkings and never let Chris die. That scarred teenage me. Woe.

4. Who should be the eleventh Doctor Who?
John Hannah.

5. What is your favorite piece of clothing?

My leather jacket. It fits perfectly, it's just warm enough for most of the year here and I just love it.

Comment with something like 'pick me' if you want me to ask you five questions to answer, and so on. Post in your LJ and see if others want to be asked questions by you.

I need Hub icons. Woe.
