So apparently Islam hates Doctor Who

I'll bet you almost anything that true followers of the Islamic faith are probably NOT followers of Doctor Who. When one's religion demands that people submit, pay a tax, or DIE, I suspect that is not going to endear a specific liking to the Timelord (a rebel who refuses to follow the rules?!), his companion (yikes, where is her burka?!), and their various adventures (tolerance? freedom? what kind of blasphemy is that?!)

Oh, good grief. I'm not sure if that's meant as a really bad joke or something, but it doesn't appear to be a troll, so... WTF, dude. What's this, how to be offensive and ignornat in five easy steps? And with the Thatcher loving, that thread is bound to get wanky. Fun times for all.

I'm not just honourary...I'm Norweigian by blood...a full one quarter, if that means anything. Heh. My great grandmother emigrated from Norway in the early 1900s, begat my ass of a grandfather, who then had a hand in making my ass of a father, who then had a hand in my genetic makeup.

But I've got relatives in Norway, and my last name's Ericksen for crying out loud. In American terms (sad, but true, I was born and raised in this withering country with delusions of Empire) you don't get much more Scandanavian than that (although people always want to spell my last name EricksOn or something, to make me Swedish).

Anyway, thanks for the offer of adoption. I'll let you know if i need to call in that favour =p
