Happy May 17th!
May. 17th, 2003 06:43 amToday (May 17th) is Norway's National Day, as our Constitution was signed on this day in 1814. On this day we endulge our love for our tiny, flawed, hopelessly navel-gazing but still rather cute country of 4.5 million people. *hugs Norway* You silly little country of mine...

A parade and lots of traditional games are planned for us Norwegians in Brisbane this morning and afternoon, which should be fun. We even specially imported Norwegian food and icecream (There is no National day without icecream). All the Aussies will stare at us, of course, but that's nothing new.
Wheee! *throws confetti and waves little Norway flag*
All Honourary Norwegians are allowed to celebrate as well, of course.
