It snowed today, so I went out and took some pictures to show off the snow. Then the cat. And then me some. So, yeah - beware if you're on dial-up. Also features one of my Doctor Who books and what [livejournal.com profile] siraj gave me.

Wow, the snow on your house and the trees is beautiful! The most we get here in England is a pathetic sort of frost that melts as soon as it lands. If we're lucky.

Kitty is adorable. And knows it, dammit.

Heh. Geekery, always fun. Though I need more stuff to be a true Doctor Who geek. All I've got are two books.

I am such a geek for wanting an icon with myself and the book, though.

Yeah, winter in Norway is beautiful. But cold. Not for the weak and easy-freezing.

Cats are so stuck up. I should know, back home we have six of them.

I have very little who stuff. Just my two t-shirts. I desperately want one of the sonic screwdrivers that I have seen in the shops, though. And some of the books. Sadly, I am a bit broke right now.

And it isn't that bad - I want an icon of that photo I have of me hugging Joss Whedon. Let's hear it for geeky icon wishes solidarity!

Damn. I want Who t-shirts. And DVDs. And shiny posters. Someone stop me

*waves solidarity banner*

Heh, I have somewhere a pic of me hugging Bruce Boxleitner of Babylon 5. That was the height of my geekiness.

*sigh*

Snow. Real snow, covering a yard. I'd forgotten what it looked like.

Kitty isn't as shaggy as I thought he'd be. :-)

I want DVDs also. But I shall wait for the box set. And for time when I have more money. And I do quite love my Who t-shirts. One has the old school Who name/logo thingy, and the other has a Dalek on it. They are splediferous.

My photo of the Joss hug is one of my most precious things. As is my Joss autograph.

God, and I was complaining about the storm we have here tonight. Though I love snow, just not in October. It's supposed to be 21 degrees on Friday (Celcius that is, of course).

Lovely cat! And now I can out a face to your name. Thanks for sharing.

Gah. That news link about the Arizona woman not being able to get the morning after pill makes me ashamed to be American. It makes me so mad that they a) don't carry it and b) refuse to dispense it on moral grounds, and c) especially to a rape victim. They need to have another pharmacist on hand to dispense it no matter what. I'll bet at some point in the future there will be a separate chain of pharmacies devoted to pro-lifers who do not want to distribute birth control at all, and all the people who have refused to dispense them, can go work there, and leave us in peace. Sorry for the mini rant, I just did a
project on emergency contraceptive in my U.S. Women's history class, and this is something I feel strongly about. Thanks for posting all of these news links- it's very interesting to get different perspectives on U.S. and world news other then what we carry here.

*waves hi to the kitty* Heh, Chip had a sister who looked a lot like Ishmael...

And wow, when I hear about snow in October, I only guess it's a light dusting or something... those might as well be proper winter scenery pictures there.

KITTY! Cute.

SNOW! Pretty. Is it wrong of me to be jealous of the snow?

You remind me of myself when I take pictures.

It's funny, every place looks rather the same after it's snowed. I looked at the photos of your house and thought, "Wow, that looks just like my house after we have snow!"

Ok, so maybe it's sort of a "duh" thing but it gave me a "Small World" moment.

They say the heat will come here too, so bye-bye snow, I guess.
