Saturday night musings
Jan. 12th, 2003 01:16 amI updated OFUM. Go me.
It's a strange thing to write, really. I have never considered myself funny at all. A sense of humour, sure, but funny? Meh. Douglas Adams is funny. Terry Pratchett is funny. Monty Python is funny in that absurd way. Yet people seem to find bits of it truly hillarious. *shrugs* I guess it's hard to be a fair judge of your own work anyway. Plus, what some find 'most hillarious chapter ever' others call 'not your best work'. Some opinions you pay attention to more than others, though. 'Ur so great!' means nothing to me. And I do get them. Bah. I never expected OFUM to be this big. I still find the whole thing baffling. But with so much crap on ff.net, people need to vent, I guess. The PPC is another example.
Even I dread to look at the LotR listings on ff.net these days. It's a sad, sad thing and has been for a long time. Perhaps when the movies are all done and forgotten by those of more fickle minds...
Speaking of fickle minds, I still find myself oogling Celeborn. The way he says 'falls of Rauros' makes me want to all kinds of naughty stuff. Sigh. Poor Elves, cursed with such good looks. It must be the price of Immortality.
