Being spoiled for Who is such an odd thing, because I really watch it for the whole overall experience not just the plots points. I want to see the little moments. The discoveries and the looks shared between them.

Doctor Who isn't all about the plots, no. That's why I love rewatching episodes - lots of character moments of British humour poked in there as well. Can be quite hard to pin down exactly what DW is, because it can be so many things.
