Good Days, Bad Days, Questions and M
Apr. 28th, 2006 09:45 amLife can be such a balance of good days, bad days at times. Wednesday - bad. Woke up in the middle of the night to throw up, had drooled blood all over my pillow (yuck!), jaw hurt like whoa, it rained, generally pissy attitude to the world. Thursday - good. Got money, went shopping (including my own pair of chucks. Yes, I am sad. Shut up), got my hair cut and coloured, jaw hurt less, laughed at Eurosong entries, the sun was warm and things were good.
Only minor drawback was the fact that Norwegian customs have decided to tax my mini Ten, which I don't get, cos he's below the tax value, and the rest of the shipment are books, which are not taxed in Norway, so... Whatever, customs. I hate in your general direction. (Of course, they will tax like whoa the shipment I just ordered from BBCshop, with shiny classic Who and stuff, but ah well.)
So... Right. Have stuff to catch up on, and also, newbies on my flist again. Hello.
Oh, babydoll.
So,
rhipowered wanted to poke me with questions, because she's a curious being. And I like that in a person, so I replied.
1. What's hotter, Catherine/Warrick or Grissom/Sara?
Heh, fandom might smack for this - but Catherine/Warrick. On a purely shallow basis, I just find them hotter people, and they act more passionately. Also, younger. Grissom is fifty, and that does matter in the bedroom department. Grissom and Sara appeals to me in different ways.
2. If you wrote an epic fic, what fandom would it be in, and what would it be about?
Lord of the Rings. AU, if Galadriel took the One Ring. I've always pondered that one, but it would be such a mammoth, mammoth undertaking I'm not sure I'd have the drive to finish. Plus, others have already gone there.
3. What's your favourite language (besides Norwegian)?
Gaelic.
4. Do you feel like you just can't escape Doctor/Rose, even though canon might make it seem sappy as hell?
*scratches head* I guess I can be a sappy fangirl with the best of them, really. I quite enjoy it. It can become a bit overwhelming in fandom, and the show does push it a lot, and they are the two main characters, so I can understand those who don't like it might feel a bit frustrated. And parts of the fandom can get way, way too... hum... OTP-obsessed about it. (See: bashing characters like Mickey, or Lynda, and Character X from spoilers.) I wish some of the darker aspects of it could get considered as well at times. I suspect I'd be more bugged about it all if I was less of a sap.
5. What really DOES make David Tennant sexy? To you, at least.
Oh dear. Well, I didn't find that hot when I first saw pictures of him, though I did stick him in the 'not bad, not bad at all' category. Then I heard his accent. I have a thing for Scottish accent (heck, I'd even do Sean Connory for the accent), so that definitely caught my attention. And he seemed so delightful enthusiastic about his job, and I saw him in Blackpool and... Yeah, I don't know. He seems funny, and able to laugh at himself, and a geek and that I find attractive. It all just adds up to a package of things I find attractive in a male, and suddenly, he's even looking hot like whoa.

I was given 'M'.
Morning. What I mostly don't like, as I am a night person. However, I will sometimes stay up for it and find the stillness at dawn completely charming.
Manners. What the Internet doesn't excuse you from having. Doesn't hurt to say 'please' when you ask a favour, or be a little polite at times.
Merry. What I mostly am, despite what you might think.
Moose. What Norway is full of, and I like to eat. They're very tasty. And also, scariest thing I've ever had happen to me while driving was almost hitting a moose thatcame running out.
Male. The gender I want to have sex with. Has many hot members, and many assy members. The two are not always mututally exclusive, alas.
Multicultural. Not just a PC word. Welcome to the future, hard as it might be.
Middle. Where I often like to hang out. I'm not too fond of the extremes, as a general rule.
Manacle. Doctor Who has made me enjoy a bit of bondage visuals. Oh dear.
Morals. Yes, I do have some. Humanitarian inspired, not tied to religion. I think it's important to have morals, but not to loose yourself in them and think only yours are right. And be very, very careful what immoral things you excuse in the name of "greater morals". That's a slippery slope.
Mildew. There is a mildew that apparently strike people of Scandinavian decent with rashes (it was featured on CSI, and I went and checked the facts), which amuses me. What this mildew find so loveable about Viking feet, I have no idea, but has to be something. Our feet are the bestest. Or something.

Date: 2006-04-28 08:16 am (UTC)Quote from someone off the site :
"There seems to be a tendency of judges having more and more fun, and this worries me." Huh?
Besides, having to read & write many long pages of judicial precedents etc. would be time-consuming and boring after a while. (Trust me. I know :D) I like to see my judges having fun - that means that there's still hope for me :)
..and somehow, I prefer the old K-9 better. The new version reminds me strongly of one of those Japanese Poo-chi dogs (or some name like that anyway)

Date: 2006-04-28 08:40 am (UTC)...and bouncy anime Sarah-Jane, with unusually-coloured hair, and big....okay. enough of that.
David Tennant does look very sexy. And his name is very appropriate, seeing what role he is playing :) Just wish ABC would hurry up and start showing the new series in Australia, pronto! *pleads* Pick it up again...don't drop it...I remember my sis (not a Who fan) getting excited because he was wearing Chucks.

Date: 2006-04-28 08:42 am (UTC)and I'm so jealous because of that Ten!doll although I don't understand the taxing. Is that common? Didn' think it would make such a big difference if you're in the EU or not...

Date: 2006-04-28 09:18 am (UTC)Ugh, WRONG. NO.
I'm sure ABC will pick it up and you can enjoy the goodness. Fingers crossed, at very least.
And I also had a pair of chucks when I was way younger. They were red and nice.

Date: 2006-04-28 10:10 am (UTC)And if owning a pair of chucks makes you a sad person, I'm pathetic, too. I needed the trainers for a fancy-dress party, though.
Oh, and by the way, got your drabble request here>7a>.

Date: 2006-04-28 02:37 pm (UTC)Well, considering the amount of screen time he gets... ;)
I'd reply, but I don't believe comments on purple monkeys and their habits regarding flight out of my butt would be polite.

Date: 2006-04-28 03:42 pm (UTC)So basically, Babydoll wants canon to change completly. She wants the show to change completly, to justify her ship.
*rolls eyes* Oh Babydoll, you amuse me.
mmmm... Manacle. *cleans up drool*
Hope your jaw feels better soon.

Date: 2006-04-28 04:35 pm (UTC)And I know all about bleeping Customs. I think I'm on a blacklist at my local post office. Anything coming through from www.amazon.com gets slapped for taxes, even a single CD! I ended up paying more in customs fees than the CD cost in the first place. Then my dad orders an ENORMOUS box of DVDs from the States, and lots of space patches and gets no customs tax whatsoever...

And what colour did you get your hair coloured?
David Tennant is just... yummy.
That mildew? It's gross. And itchy.
Nothing is worse than child pornography unless it is the mutilation of a child while that child is being made to perform in child pornography. It's disgusting and wrong and I hate it. And to have copying a CD on the same level is completely ludacris.
