You know, some taboos are taboos for a bloody reason. I tend to think I'm pretty open about sexual practices (haven't shocked me yet, have you maureenlycaon? Thumbs up for effort, though) but hands *off* the children!

The merry chase for weapons of mass destruction continue

but if they find nothing... God, the Arab world is distrusting the Western world enough as it is, but if the US and UK finds no weapons, any possible trust will go right out the window. And quite probably in Europe, too, who is not a happy camper in the first place. Then again, when is Europe a happy camper?

While I don't see what the Author has against Demi Moore for going out with Ashton Kutcher, I do agree that there are some lines you just don't cross, and dammit, hands off the children! The terms of my tolerance for others sexual choices are "Between Consenting Adults". *growls* Children are not to be used in a sexual manner, it's as simple as that.

I agree totally -- hands OFF the kids, dammit! I must admit that I'm surprised Germaine Greer would do this, if it is true. I'll admit I'm a trifle skeptical, because of the way Devine Miranda or whatever her name is uses it as an excuse for inciting foaming-mouthed hatred of liberals and Baby Boomers.

That's the big issue I've always had with certain proponents of the old "Sexual Revolution", especially Camille Paglia. When you insist that the whole point of pornography and "sexual liberation" is the breaking of taboos, like Paglia does, sooner or later you end up defending stuff like RL rape and babyrape. Or you just run out of sexual taboos. Or both.

(And yes, this from a woman who writes some pretty taboo-breaking stuff.)


I think we all know by now the whole WMD thing was an excuse, right? Oh, and this might amuse you. :-)
