Sara Sidle and Gil Grissom had been at a rather dull conference in Scandinavia involving the sociology, philosophy and politics of CSI when the Daleks had abruptly arrived; fortunately, the deadly pepper-pots intent on world dominance were driven back by a combination of the ninth Doctor, his companion Rose, snark and Eurosong.

Rose wasn't entirely sure why the Doctor thought it would be 'fun' to land on an almost-uninhabited spaceship three million years in the future; and she was very wary when it turned out to contain a highly evolved species of cat, because her last encounter with humanoid cats hadn't gone all that well; and when the dead man began using the most ridiculous chat-up lines she had ever heard while the living one trimmed his toenails with his teeth she resolved then and there to kill the Doctor, no matter how many regenerations she had to get through.

Stepping out of the TARDIS Rose and the Doctor came face to face with the crew of the spaceship they had landed in, the Doctor took one look at the robot with a head shaped like a novelty condom, the hologram spouting triumphant joy about the existance of aliens and dragged Rose back into the TARDIS before the third crew member could open his mouth: he wasn't risking exposing her weakness for northern accents...

Now that was a long sentence...I suspect my grammer is rubbish but never mind... :)
