I had to guess for CSI, so I just chose them at random. Oh, and I would also qualify one of my answers: Pimping your own fic is okay, but only to a certain extent; otherwise, you'll start getting on everyone's nerves, and that for good reasons.

I honestly thought "Drose" was an abomination, and then I started reading Buffy fanfic. Whoever came up with stuff like "Spawn" (for Spike/Dawn) is either a master of irony or really, really stupid.

On pimping one's own work: as long as you're not doing so in an inappropriate place (like when the topic of conversation is meant to be someone else's work--it bugs me when I see someone leave a review for a story basically saying, "Great story! Hey, you should read my work..."), I see no problem with it--I get introduced to a lot of stories I like by authors pimping their stuff, anyway...
