Norway has awarded this year's Nobel Peace Prize to Shirin Ebadi

The Nobel Committee Interestingly, as of this year, the majority of the committee are now made up of females.

Hopefully, this award will be a good thing and help the battle for human rights in Iran. We will see, I suppose. Sometimes, the Prize has good effects. Sometimes, it has none.

Oh, and an article on the Norwegian RotK line for tickets. It's gonna get cold...

Ever had the realisation that someone you liked at first now makes you want to hit your head against a wall repeatedly - but that you don't really want to say anything because that'll just turn messy and drama on you? But on the other hand, being all polite makes you feel like a hypocrit... Gah.

I suppose there is always the option of just shutting up. In my view, people don't shut up nearly enough (that includes meself).

God yes, that's happened to me. My roommate seemed just like me. Until it came out that she's a freaky republican with all kinds of scary views on things which she hasn't thought out at all. Sometimes banging your head against a wall is much less painful than dealing with the change. Or rather, the reality of the person.
