Random thoughts on fandom and life
Apr. 29th, 2007 02:46 amSo I wanna redo my user info (again) - is there possibly someone I could bribe to make me some little graphics and banners? Also I want a banner to stick on my fic masterlist, just because. (I can do some paid LJ time or some such for ya in return.)
Random thoughts while I wait on the magical fairies to do their Who delivery work:
- Why are not more ship wars solved by threesomes? Seriously. And why have fandom not delivered the Rose/Doctor/Martha yet? Am I going to have to write it myself?
- I seriously LOLed at this thread. I got banned on the David-Tennant.net forum. i shouldn't have said the things i have said on there. And i am really sorry. I am known as Mel0 on that forum. How do I get un-banned? - poor
tennant_love just gets all sorts of OT posted to it these days, doesn't it?
- I have a remote controlled red Dalek from the movie "Doctor Who and the Daleks" now. Shut up, it was on half price. And the remote is a TARDIS.
- How to spend a Saturday in WoW: Fishin' in Feralas with Saz - as posted by request. But hey, we both got our skill up to master!
- It's soon time for Eurosong again. HURRAH. Been watching the Nordic countdown programmes, where representatives of all the Nordic countries grade the entries. Much snark and it fills me with glee. I look forward to all the musical WTFery on stage.
- *ponder, ponder Doctor Who or CSI remix challenges*
- When lame wank reports make roll my eyes, parodies of them brings back the feeling of fun.
- I know there is wank out there about the lastest CSI episode and I've resisted finding it. I think maybe I'm gathering strength for the finale. Two shipwars at once is a bit much. Though it did make me ponder Grissom/Martha (or Rose) and Sara/Doctor a bit. Heh. Or Grissom/Doctor.
- Hehehe. There's a challenge and a half. It is surprisingly hard to write really, really awfully at times, though. It's like art.
- BBC is the meanest ever to UK-lock this. Meanies. Where's the love for your international audience who buys your Daleks, huh? Huh?!
- Friday I actually got to work in the lab. This was v. v. exciting as lab is filled with chemicals and drugs and stuff and I felt all McGyver about it. Also I get paid on Wednesday and haven't actually started using last paycheck yet. This is a good feeling.
- There is nothing in life as glorious as a proper spring. Makes me fall a little in love with life and Norway all over again. Seriously, it's good to be alive. And after all the shit about a year and a half ago, it feels like I'm finally piecing something good together again.
And the magical fairies are done. I slink off to watch, wheee.

Date: 2007-04-29 01:17 am (UTC)seriously? that's all kinds of nifty.
Why are not more ship wars solved by threesomes?
um, because it's the easiest way to solve the problem? i get the feeling ship wars aren't big fans of the simplest way to get from point a to point b is by a straight line concept. and rose/doctor/martha could be super (and interesting).
enjoy the rest of the weekend :o)

Date: 2007-04-29 02:42 am (UTC)The picture I had in mind for banner was this: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y64/MissCamilla/writing-2.png. Sizeish I was thinking 500 width and height whatever is convenient. But that's not a must.

Date: 2007-04-29 03:21 pm (UTC)That would be utterly awesome!
I've been trying to get a little CSI/Who vignette crossover to work, but it isn't, alas. Not a shippy thing, just the techs trying to figure out why one dying person went alone into a locked room and a completely different person came out.

Date: 2007-04-29 05:52 pm (UTC)I love the poetry of daleks being controlled by the TARDIS.
Sara/Doctor
Actually, I could see that.
The BBC is mean. Makes me want to move across the ocean, only acording to step 23 it's such a long way to swim...
