Ciao, Italia!

Well, very soon, anyway - early, early Friday morning (CET time) I head off to Genova, Italy to hang with falena84 for three weeks. I probably won't check this LJ as regularly during this time - but I will be getting some sun at long last. (Boo, Norwegian weathergods. Boo!) E-mail me at camilla.sandman at gmail dot com if it's something important.

This is going to be bliss after months of rain and a week of suffering a nasty cold. (Which is why I haven't been much online, if you wondered.)



Expect some silly updates during this three weeks. Oh yes.

I really hope you like our country. Have you and falena84 decided on a specific itinerary yet? I hope you're visiting some art cities like Florence and Rome (they can't be missed!). Enjoy your stay! :)

You know, I'd really love to meet you both, but unfortunately I live in the north and doubt I'll be able to drive as far as Genova on my own anytime soon (my husband's working full time and can't take me there). But if you happen to be visiting Milan one of these days, just let me know and I'll come running (it's just an hour by train from where I live)!!!

I kind of hate Milano but maybe Camilla wouldn't mind taking a look at the Duomo and stuff. I'd go just to meet you. :)
It's only one hour and half by train. Let's see what Cam says. I'm at her beck and call. ;)

I'd LOOOOOVE to, and I'm already crossing my fingers for that! I usually go to Milan just to go to the English Bookshop or any other interesting bookstore that can satisfy my needs for good reading stuff, but in this case I'd gladly make an exception: it's not everyday that a friend from the North comes to Italy, and I'd love to show her around (even though Milan is not the best place to be during this hot summer).

That's totally the only reason why I go to Milan. LOL. Messaggerie Musicali and Feltrinelli International. And that lovely French bookstore whose name I can't remember at the moment. Language geeks ftw!

I'll ask Camilla. She's staying three weeks, so a one-day trip to Milan should be feasible if she's interested.
