Weather woes, a Gingrich gets scoffed, fannish news, a meme

Friday, it was 30C. Today, it is 11C. Weather actually got fairly violent this weekend. So nowI'm showing definite symptons of cold. Including sexy cold-voice, but that doesn't make up for the rest of the fail of it. Plus I'm back at work. Oh Mondays, why are you made of such annoyance?

Meanwhile, arch-conservative Newt Gingrich has spent some time in Norway and concluded we're a great case for "green conservatism." Norwegian reactions? Eyerolling and scoffing. Bite me, Gingrich. We're not a campaign tool for McCain. How anyone can see a case for conservatism in Norway is beyond me - even our conservatives would pass for liberals quite easily in the US.

In the fannish news, mixed fan reactions to the Doctor Who finale makes BBC News. I note the ratings were quite high. Hmm. I still haven't made my mind up about the finale.

How I wish this video existed in good quality already. Mary does Number Six impersonation. Bwhaha. Speaking of BSG, have I mentioned yet today how much I want new episodes? Because I do. ARGH.

I love that the DW fandom is worthy of BBC news. lol. I am getting increasingly unsure about my own reaction to the finale. It makes my head hurt thinking about it though! lol

DW fandom is SERIOUS BUSINESS; don't you know? ;) And yeah, I've had to stop thinking about it because I already have a headache. So I think about BSG instead, hah.

Tssssk. You could ask stuff like 'paste the last paragraph you wrote in a word document' or some such :P You'd probably get fic bits.

I don't know if you're already a member, btlstr_hiatusca that is due to begin a rewatch next week. It's not quite as good as new episodes, but we have fun there and it helps the hiatus pass by that much faster.
