Mel rocks, for being so smart even though she's a little shriek-y. Romana rocks, both versions of her, because she's smart and a little bitchy, and isn't afraid to tell the Doctor he's ridiculous. Liz rocks, because she's just fucking smart. Martha rocks because she's smart and brave and willing to do absolutely anything to save the world - and awesome for LEAVING, as heartbreaking as it was. (On a side note, I refuse to believe she's engaged. She should have SO MANY PTSD issues, I highly doubt she'd be able to hold down a boyfriend. It's a cheap way of showing that she's "moved on" from the Doctor, and I think the writers did her a serious disservice with that.)
And speaking of Sarah Jane growing up to become the Doctor - Maria rocks, because she's what Sarah Jane was when Sarah was first on Doctor Who, and is well on her way to becoming the Doctor herself; and Rani rocks, because she's sharp and intelligent and persistent and-- okay, I love her despite the fact that she's practically a Maria clone. She's just awesome anyway.
Yes, the Who girls needed more love from me. I don't know why. I just... love them all. Even the ones I don't like that much (I really can't stand WATCHING Mel, and Tegan grates on my nerves) are strong and amazing in some way, and I just wish I had seen them all so I could tell everyone why they're all awesome.
Also? Shippers? HE LOVES THEM ALL. The Doctor loves EVERY DAMN ONE OF THEM in their own way, and so please stop trying to discredit other people's ships. It makes K-9 sad. You don't want to make the tin dog sad, do you?
