RotK EE. Mmmm. But not enough Faramir & Èowyn. And David Wenham rally is hot. Must resist F/E plotbunnies...

In other news, my broadband should be up next week, which means my Internet-less existence should soon be at an end. Huzzah. Have y'all missed me? I expect a grand welcome back, of course ;)

Was mum's birthday yesterday, which is why I'm visiting home and feel fattened up on too much lasagne and waffles with ice cream. My mum really is too nice. She even gave me the leftovers to save and eat later. Then of course she asked me if I'd seen Alexander, which is mum-code for "I'm really asking so I can get you along to see it with me". Heh.

So Christmas is almost upon us and it's gift-giving time. Of course, it's hard to give gifts online. But do you have a virtual Christmas wish?

Cam wants pretty icons and long chats with people she hasn't talked to for a while. And hot oiled men, of course.

Just so happens that I was playing with pictures of aurora borealis. :)

Hee, enjoy :) Oh, there was one more cool pic I would have made into an icon had it not had someone's name right on it, might as well point it out because it's too cool not to show off.

*goes to watch EE herself*

Welcome back Cam.

What would I like for a virtual Christmas? Hmmm... hard one. (No, that's not the answer, mind out of gutter).

Wahoo! Cam's back! You've been missed a lot. As for a virtual Christmas gift, I've already seen mine at the shops: a calendar of our favourite Shrub and all the stupid things he's said (or ought to have said)in calendar mode! If I manage to get it I'll scan the pics.

As for an actual virtual Christmas gift... some inspiration would be nice. And some Sues to torture. And pictures of Men or Elves in Black Leather never go astray.

It's at time like this I wish I lived in the Northern Hemisphere. A very long way north.

Iceland truly is a marvel of ice and fire. Amazing image. I've seen some other shots that are pretty awe-inspiring as well. It is a saga land.

Give in! Give in to F/E plot bunnies! We need more F/E! *Sigh* And they had such great chemistry. It's such a pity that we couldn't have seen more of their love story.

OTOH, we did get to see Eomer discovering Eowyn's body, which was perfectly spine-tingling. Wow, can Karl Urban act!

It is hard to go astray where black leather and hot men/elves are concerned, really.

I got a poster of Bush sayings on my living room wall, just next to the telly. It cheers me up.

But I already have so many other plot bunnies! Besides, writing a story that do Faramir and Èowyn justice would require lots of work and swearing (I swore quite a lot when writing just a little drbble - a story would make me invent new sweare words).

I missed more F/E stuff as well, particulary the actual getting together bit. Wah. But Eomer's grief and inclusion in the Houses of Healing scene was very nice to see.

I am very much hoping that the RotK EE comes out on cheap pirated DVD in Moscow by Saturday when I'll be paying a visit to the local flea market. The other EEs are already out here; I've dropped Mom some not-so-subtle hints. Nothing for my birthday yesterday, but I've got hopes for Christmas. Otherwise I'll just buy them myself.

Glad you're back. Or almost back. Close enough. :)

Lucky person who has the RotK: EE...*ticks off days until Christmas*

In the category of virtual Christmas presents...*thinks* Uh, Sean Bean...uh...and Dr. Bashir from DS9. That'll make me a happy GreenCat.
And Sues to torture. Ho ho ho. *twines tinsel about a small DS9 ornament*

(I will bear gifts when I get home-am on school computer during lunch)

Hmm...RoTK EE..a few years ago, after I'd seen FoTR, my dad promised to buy me all the EEs. He signed an IOU, thinking I'd lose it.
Think again...*runs after father brandishing IOU*

Alexander was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life. Seriously!!! It was similar to Celebrian over at GAFF...Well, maybe I'm exagerrating but trust me, it was bad!

Happy Birthday to mummy. Don't resist F/E plotbunnies. Your last one was adorable, sorry, very well written ;) Can't wait for my copy of EE. I know I'm going to get like 5 extra ones for Christmas. Ebay, here I come...

I want what I wanted (and didn't get) last year. Elijah Wood in green silk Christmas tree boxers and a big red velvet bow.

Bast, drooling

P.S.---Welcome Back! *glomp*

I missed you. I have had no one to commiserate with over the... butchery... of Ursula K. LeGuin's EarthSea novels in the recent SciFi channel movie adaptation who can properly understand the pain of having that fantasy world of your childhood brutally raped with a broken beer bottle dipped in sulphuric acid.

Or, y'know, at least be snarky enough to draw me out of the cloud of misery I've been walking around in since it came out.

Ah, but right now I am living in Melbourne, where the inhabitants must venture outside dressed to cope with both Antartic temperatures and 40-degree heatwaves simultaneously.

Is lutefisk a good way of keeping warm?
