Birthday Cam
Feb. 21st, 2005 06:30 amIt's now officially Monday morning in Norway, so...
Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday to me
Happy birthday dear Camiiiiiiilla
Happy birthday to me!
25. A quarter of a century. Yes, 25 years ago in Bodø, Norway, the firstborn of Matz and Reidun was born and that was little me, poking out in the world. And of course, I was late. Heh. I was home and celebrated with the parents yesterday and got a lovely new bike and lasagne. The leftovers will last me a week.
So, cake all around! Cold lasagne if you want! Bring gifts! ;) Feel free to IM me during the evening, I'm planning on having a few birthday chats here and there.
And aha! Ah, it's like a special birthday gift to me... Yes, CSI, give me one of my pairings.
And a meme, for my birthday:
In 25 more years, where will I be? Where will you be? And what is the one thing we'd be likely to do together?
Happy birthday to me

Date: 2005-02-20 09:37 pm (UTC)In 25 years, you will be happily set in whatever career you have chosen for yourself and looking forward to an early retirement that you can spend with your family and friends. At least, that's what I wish for you.
And where will I be in another 25 years? If it's still working at the book store, I may have to step into incoming traffic.
And together? I'd love to say, visiting you in Norway. :D

Date: 2005-02-20 09:42 pm (UTC)Where will you be in 25 years: Working in your then-secure job at the BBC. ;)
Where will I be: Not living in Bush Country any longer (I hope)! I don't even know where I'll be this time next year. Final semester of university is fun. O_o
The one thing we'd be likely to do together: Tell Bush jokes in the past tense. Maybe exchange pictures of the kitties we'll have then.

Date: 2005-02-20 09:55 pm (UTC)Heh. Norway will still be here in 25 years, same as ever, me thinks. Fjords and mountains and all. *hugs little country* It'll be 100 years as a modern independent state this year.
Happy birthday!
Date: 2005-02-20 09:56 pm (UTC)What sort of cake do you want? I'm fairly flexible, but please don't say lutefisk...
I'd hope that in 25 years' time, you'd be doing something you love and helping to make the world a better place. And writing the 27th sequel to OFUM or something, because I don't know how we'll cope without it.
And I'd like to come and ogle the aurora with you once in a while. And learn Norwegian.

Date: 2005-02-20 09:56 pm (UTC)In 25 years, I have no idea where you will be. In Norway, and writing something?
In 25 yeas, I have no idea where I will be. Likely, somewhere in Europe, working for the big, evil pharmaceutical company.
We are likely to complain about poorly written stuff all over the 'Net together :)

Re: Happy birthday!
Date: 2005-02-20 10:00 pm (UTC)I got cake already - chocolate, made my mum. It's very good. Have some.
And 27th sequel? Ye Gods. How will I have anything left to write about?

Date: 2005-02-20 10:15 pm (UTC)And yeah, I can see myself as a bitter 50-year-old, still hissing about teh right spelling of Rivendell.

Date: 2005-02-20 10:28 pm (UTC)I will be a pharmacist, happily filling penicillin prescriptions, when I'm not busy with my kids.
And we will together be lamenting over(and rectifying) badfic...although I wouldn't mind a vaction in Norway...

Date: 2005-02-20 10:35 pm (UTC)I hope you have a wonderful day, filled with cake and cold lasagne (which is the best way to have it, personally).
In 25 years, I will be in a Bush-free America, you will be in a Bush-free world, and we will be dancing about it.

Date: 2005-02-20 10:41 pm (UTC)I like my lasagne hot and cold both, but it does have a different taste to it cold. Either way, it's yummy.

Date: 2005-02-20 10:42 pm (UTC)In 25 years, I have no clue where you'll be. Writing, perhaps? Or doing a job that you'd like to do?
As for me, I'll be some computer geek hunched over my Linux box trying to get it to plot the coordinates of the electrons orbiting a plutonium atom, or something equally pointless.
We'll probably be lamenting badfic on LJ. 'Cos some things just don't die, and badfic is one of them.

Date: 2005-02-20 10:44 pm (UTC)If it is cold, it's all stiff, and if it's hot, it's, I don't know, less adventurous, but when it's lukewarm, it loses the stiffness but not the adventurousness, a rule which does not apply to the opposite sex.

Date: 2005-02-20 10:48 pm (UTC)Now...In 25 years you will be either someone very major in politics or someone equally major in journalism. I will hopefully be alive. Let's see, 25 years...I'll be 45 and you'll be 50. Christ, we'll be decrepit. Anyway, hopefully I'll accomplish at least something...We shall see. We'd be likely to either campaign for something together. Personally I'm leaning towards that one. Of coure you could always be à la Larry King and be the only one with the exclusive rights to interview me :)
Love you muchly!
Ton,
Anaïs
