I've apparently been nominated with The Sound After Rain so far. Yay? Fingers crossed it won't have as much bruhahaha as the Mithril Awards, anyway. Oy vey.

In other news, 'war on terror' gets renamed. (Think someone has actually realised you can't defeat terrorism by military alone?)

Shocking truth: I met someone who said that Saddam was actively funding Hamas and the Bali bombers. My response: WTF?

In a sense, yes he did. Al-Qaeda wants the clerics to run things, Saddam wanted to play happy dictator without interferance. Religiously speaking, Saddam is rather moderate. Al-Qaeda is not.

Anyway, I find the fact she put a couple of words here in and there quite annoying...but they were mostly correct.

Except for this:

Pozzo It does mean well only in the sense of a deep hole in the ground from which people take water..the adverb well should be translated with bene!LOL!

I guess this is why you consult with a native speaker of the language when you don't speak it yourself before you stick it in a story. Never trust online translators.

Ah well, at least she didn't utterly fudge it up.
