Fanfic Awards, Oh My!
Jul. 27th, 2005 09:15 amSeems to be a CSI Fanfic Award starting
I've apparently been nominated with The Sound After Rain so far. Yay? Fingers crossed it won't have as much bruhahaha as the Mithril Awards, anyway. Oy vey.
In other news, 'war on terror' gets renamed. (Think someone has actually realised you can't defeat terrorism by military alone?)
Headache. Fever. Going back to bed.

Date: 2005-07-27 03:09 am (UTC)I'll bet, seeing as there kind of weren't any before they started busting up Baghdad.
Have some herbal tea(tea, dammit!), a nasal decongestant, a box of tissues, a Tylenol, and soothing classical music. Unless you'd like something like Rammstein. We carry that too.

Date: 2005-07-27 10:37 am (UTC)Yeah, it's only now starting to sink in there were no links between Saddam and al-Qaeda ? Though given the US media and the White House propaganda, perhaps I should not be surprised.

Date: 2005-07-27 01:22 pm (UTC)Didn't Saddam give a loud, flaming "Fuck you" to Al-Quaeda?
Shocking truth: I met someone who said that Saddam was actively funding Hamas and the Bali bombers. My response: WTF?

Date: 2005-07-27 07:11 am (UTC)From "global war on terrorism" to "a global struggle against the enemies of freedom"? The old one was easier to remember. :P
I'm still maintaining my opinion that they're gits. A bicycle is still a bicycle even if you call it a motorcycle.
And that's that.

Date: 2005-07-27 10:42 am (UTC)"Enemies of freedom" is not tha much better a phrase. There's plenty of enemies of freedom the US ain't globally struggling with but rather working with, so... Blah.

Date: 2005-07-27 10:20 am (UTC)OFUCSI's been nommed now, too. (Looking it over, I notice they don't research who writes things, since Bicoastal was nommed for something, but the awards didn't indicate if it was Cincoflex, VR Trakowski, or both of them that had written the fic...)

Date: 2005-07-27 10:52 am (UTC)They really should research who's who, or it could get slightly messy. Ah well.

How are you feeling now?

Date: 2005-07-28 04:58 am (UTC)Thanks - another one of the requests done (I did a HP one too, while you were away). Busy writing bee me.
I'm... eh. Been better, been worse. Definitely got a cold, though. Ah well.

Date: 2005-07-28 05:02 am (UTC)I saved the HP piece..wi'll read it when I'm in more of a HP mood. Am not now.
Summer colds sucks. Aspirin and a nice bed are your friends, remember ;P

Date: 2005-07-28 05:10 am (UTC)Heh, you have HP moods?
There is such a thing as too much aspirin and too much bed.

Date: 2005-07-28 05:35 am (UTC)Anyway, I find the fact she put a couple of words here in and there quite annoying...but they were mostly correct.
Except for this:
Pozzo It does mean well only in the sense of a deep hole in the ground from which people take water..the adverb well should be translated with bene!LOL!
And she obviously used Altavista or something like that to translate this tale un civetta. Io scommessa che tutte le donne cadono per tale fascino
Should have been something like che donnaiolo!Scommetto che tutte le donne rimangono ammaliate dal suo fascion

Date: 2005-07-28 06:09 am (UTC)Ah well, at least she didn't utterly fudge it up.
I'm not sure what I am in the mood to write myself. Hmmhmmm.
