Writing Woes and Kitten Wars

Last thing Cam needs to do is start another WIP, right? So this is of course exactly what Cam does. You can find the prologue of Shades of Dawn here (ff.net) or here (CSI Forensics). It's a GSR fic.

But fear not, I have also written quite a bit on the next OFUCSI chapter, which has required more than a little research into various not too pleasant things (among them, the stages of decomp of a body). Hopefully, I should have it done in a few days, if I don't squick myself out first.

Have also finished my Geekfiction Ficathon assignment and it will be happily beta'ed by briasoleil. Whee. One more done on my list over fics to do. I shall slowly make my way through it, have no fear.

Incidentally, can a kind soul somewhere make me a prettier "Public Access" banner than this - http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y64/MissCamilla/park9.jpg? President Bush - who has met hundreds of relatives of US soldiers killed in Iraq - says US troops will stay until their mission is completed.

:\ Isn't Bush on another one of his more-than-a-month-long vacations now? I know that despite how I feel about the war having started, it probably wouldn't be the best idea to just pack up and leave until the "mission is completed" (as much as we can complete it) but still, that statement makes me wince.

Dunno about vacation, but he's dodging relatives of dead soldiers like heck. Have you heard about Cindy Sheehan? Camped outside his doorstep until he comes out to talk to her and answer her questions properly.

I think I heard of her, and that Bush basically responded that he "sympathizes," but refuses to pull out of Iraq.

I don't think I'd want Bush's sympathy (if it were real--I can't tell just by reading that he says he "sympathizes"), myself.

I'm pretty sure a body in an advanced state of decomposition would aquick you too. Lovingly explain in great detail, too. I'm only using some of the details for the class itself, though. Ew, to echo Nina.

You're probably right about the squick factor. I can just see Nina and Theresa getting squicked by the fact that they agreed totally on the squick...
