Nigeria scam letters just get more and more stupid, don't they?

DEAR BELOVED,

PLEASE ENDEAVOUR TO USE IT FOR THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

I am the above named person from LONDON. I am married to MR PATRICK FRANKLIN who worked with BRITISH embassy in CANADA for nine years before he died in the year of the Lord 1999. We were married for eleven years without a child. He died after a brief illness that lasted for only four days. Prior to his death, we were converted and became born again Christians.
After the death of my husband, I decided not to re-marry or have a child outside my matrimonial home which the holy Bible condenms vehemtly.
When my late husband was alive, he deposited the sum of£7.5 Million (seven Million five hundred thousand pound sterling) with a security and mortgage
finance firm here in UK.Presently, this money is still under the safe keeping of the firm.
A couple of years ago, I was diagnoised with cancer which has eaten deep into my body system. The state of my health has deterioted so much in
the past few weeks that my doctor told me that I have less than 7 months to live as a result of complications arising from the cancer.
Having known my fate which seems not to be redeemable unless there is a divine intervention in my life (which I pray for everyday),I have decided to donate this funds to a church, a Christian organisation or individual That will utilize this money the way I am going to instruct herein. I want the funds to be used to help the needy, orphans, sick and homeless children
and widows and to spread the word of God around the globe. The Bible made us to understand that Blessed is the hand that giveth.
I took this decision because I don't have any child of my own that will inherit this money and I don't want my husband's hard earned money to be misused by unbelievers and in an ungodly manner. Hence the reason for taking this bold decision.
I am not afraid of death for I know blessed are the pure in heart for they shall inherit the kingdom of God. I know that I am going to be in the bossom of the Lord. I know that the lord will fight my case and I shall hold my peace.
Because of my ill heallth, I will not be able to speak with you or even communicate often via emails with you. I had to wirte this email to you through the help of a kind nurse in the hospital. With God all things are possible. As soon as I receive a positive response from you, I will introduce you to a good and trusted attorney here in London who will take care of the legal proceedings to ensure that the right of ownership to this funds is transfered to you.
You will be issued a letter of authority by him that will empower you as the authorised recipient- beneficiary of this funds. I want you and the church to always pray for me because the lord is my shepherd. My happiness is that I lived the life of a worthy Christian. Whoever that wants to serve the Lord must serve him in spirit and truth.
Please assure me that you will act accordingly as I stated herein. Your response should be channeled to this email account:
( franklin_lin_1@yahoo.com)
Hoping to hear from you as soon as possible.
Remain blessed in the name of the Lord.

Should I reply with just how much I want to use the 'money' for atheist and scientific purposes, you think?

grammar rules... Typos... Oh Gods, the typos... And lack of punctuation. Yup, my eyes are bleeding.

But I'm still laughing.

I guess she's so sick she can't type, spell or do grammar well. Or something.

That's why things like this are so funny. *loves Irregular Webcomic*

Darn mad spammers. You always wonder who falls for this stuff, but there must be enough people who do otherwise they'd have given up on the idea of getting money like this a long time ago.

Sneeeeerk.

Yes, there must be. Though sending out an e-mail costs very little indeed, so even if just one of ten thousand gets scammed, it pays.

Blah. Scammers and spammers. Much hate.

It's the people who reply to this type of spam that I worry about.

One does wonder about their functionality in life, yes.

But I suppose the lure of money makes idiots of many.

You can ignore that; they're experimenting on the laws of gravity.

Sorry for deleting my last two comments; obviously my english spelling suffers under more dramatic circumstances.

The best thing will be you ignore that nonsense.

I've taken a wet towel and shooed him back into the arms of Breadlegs.

And I'm perfectly aware of the fact that you get the alerts - I only thought it was more than enough that you witnessed me losing my temper.

...What?

Cancer eaten deep into my body

WTF? That sounds like an animal tore out half her abdomen and put the cancer in.

To be fair, it *is* a (very) common analogy to say that cancer is "eating" -- the way it's put is quite odd, though.

Exactly. I got a really ugly image from that.

By the way, ICON LURVE!

What I want to know is if I'll see anyone else at school with Potterpuffs binder covers, and how hilarious it would be if they had mine.

I like how donating one's money to Christian charities when one has no children and is devoutly Christian is "a bold step".

Also -- she doesn't talk like a born-again Christian. She talks like an odd cross between these girls I used to take ballet with whose father was an Orthodox priest and the savage in Brave New World.
