Fred Phelps is so predictable

"...we would love help, but we're going to take care of our own business as well,
and there's no doubt in my mind we'll succeed."

Really? Where's my money and my hot men then?

Story that amused me today:
There was a meeting of the legal committee of the Council of Europe.
On the agenda: 1) Protection of migratory birds, which were being shot in large numbers in Southern Europe during the winter. 2) Death penalty in European countries.
Our man: Jakob Aano, KrF (Christian Democratic Party).
He was tired from travelling, and dozed off for a minute - he thought. But quite a few minutes past before he woke up, and discussion had progressed to the death penalty. Feeling that Norway ought to say something about our beloved migratory birds, he requested permission to speak: It is of course sad that so many of them are shot every year. But we should not forget that there are many millions left, so I don't really think this is a major problem.

I honestly don't see why our government just doesn't go after Phelps already, while they harass other innocent individuals. XP And I giggle at Jakob Aano. Silly goose. I hope the council realized he was talking about the birds and not the people ^_^;;

I'm sure they did... and had much fun teasing him with it.

Goddamn. Phelps should be arrested and sent off to jail. What a jerkoff.

Mr. Aano sounds cool.

Reminds me of another guy we had who became world famous for sitting in Parliament and playing a war game on his little handheld thingy while Parliament was debating the Iraq war. Camera caught him and suddenly, world fame.

"Where's my money and my hot men then?"

Well, I'd be glad to send you money, and I am your token male... though I seriously lack in hotness.

You have a brain. That is hot.

"Fag-semen-rancid?" The fact that I'd never heard such a word before Mr. Phelps' site says something about Mr. Phelps' fascinations, rather than about New Orleans, methinks.

He does like certain words, but the way he combines them is pretty new.

I must say, I disagree with your man. There was millions of Passenger Pigions in the States and look what happened to them.

What did happen to them?

Well there were so many of them that when the migrated they would black out the sky (largest counted flock about two billion birds, a mile wide and three miles long, taking three days for them to fly over a place). People would shoot at them, for sport and for food. They were cheap and everywhere. By the mid 1800's people noticed that there weren't as many as there used to be but that didn't stop anyone. "Almost all of the remaining quarter-million Passenger Pigeons were killed in a single day in 1896 by sport hunters, who knew they were shooting the last wild flock." (wikipedia, gotta love it)

The last passenger pigeon died in the zoo in 1916.

So, there used to be bunches and bunches and bunches of them and no one thought that anything would happen to them if only a few were shot and they went poofy.

That's Fredrik Ljungberg, Swedish footballer of quite some skill. He plays for Arsenal. Can also be ogled here (thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bjam1402) or here (his own website - check out multimedia and off the pitch gallery).

Football, you see, is a very nice sport.

OK, Phelps doesn't just make my religion look bad, or my country, he's just a black mark on the human race.

Anyway, agreeing with some of those hot athelete choices, but crazy guy with writing and guy with big ears get a thumbs down from me. #8 is pretty tasty tho'...#13 and #18 are nice, too...

#13 is Swedish and represents Scandinavia quite well. #18 is French (both play for Arsenal) and #8 is Italian and plays for AC Milan.

Mmm, football.

Word on Phelps.

It might also amuse to hear that you have got a namesake in Virgil's Aeneid -- Camilla the kick-ass warrior woman, something like the Volscian equivalent to Éowyn. Unfortunately, she's also described as maidenly coy and chaste, though, which means you wouldn't get your hot males there, either. :)

Speaking of hot males -- I now seriously question the taste of English women. Well, #1, for example, is very cute, but #16?!? At least, the latter choice gets credit for a certain originality.

Probably just a ploy so no one would discover her male harem ;)

Yes indeed,I don't quite get Eric Cantona as a choice either. And number five on the top twenty list too. *shakes head*

OMG -- your icon! *rotfl*

I've just had another look at #5, noticing that the guy bears an uncanny resemblance to a Teletubby (well, in my eyes, at least). No, definitely not hot. :)

Neat, no? Comes in "Wet!Darcy" edition too.

Teletubbies scare me.
