Had great fun. Several hundred Norwegians gathered together, and we played Norwegian music and went in our parade and had our games... Even had some people dress up as the Norwegian Royal family to wave at the parade. Hee. Great fun.
Our parade! ('neste bilde' means next picture) We made the news in Norway, heh.
And family will call today. S'all good.
(Well, except that the world is screwed up and all, but can't worry about that all the time or we'd all be depressed)

Date: 2003-05-18 01:38 am (UTC)Why does that sound like more fun than Australia Day? I wonder if the Norwegians over here in Perth did anything--I knew a couple in my creative writing class, but not very well.
*waves her honourary Norwegian flag some more*

Date: 2003-05-18 07:39 am (UTC)But that sounds awesome. July 4th, the day of American independence, is pretty boring where I live, just fireworks in the evening. But in Park City, Utah, where I usually am that time of year, it's great. Parade down that street, famous athletes jumping on trampolines in ski boots, skis and shorts... it's so much fun. :)
