I'm cold, I'm cranky and I have a properly utterly pointless meeting on today. Great. Blah-blah-workcakes. Why can't the world just pay me to stay home, write fanfic and insult Bush? So unfair. And why do so many idiots IM me? Latest now, some git from Italy wanting to webcam and talk about how hot Scandinavian girls are. Sod off, git.

Though I suspect my real cause for feeling fucked up this morning is tied to the charming prospect of filling out forms with "Hey, I was raped, I'd like to get compensation from the government since the police can't find the bastard. Kthxbye."

So, of course, looking at the news this morning, this really does not me please.

The US military has confirmed the use of white phosphorus in Iraq, something they earlier had flat-out denied. Cue eyeroll to infinity. Combined with the charming story about starving detainees found in an Iraq interior ministry building (showing some signs of torture as well) and my urge to headdesk is overwhelming. WTF, people. WTF.

Meanwhile, _cloudedvision has made a lone line of badfic!attacking Daleks. They're adorable to the nth degree. Aaaw! I've adopted "You're! You're! You're!", as is fitting to my pet peeve.

What Cam wants is goodfic. Preferably Nine/Rose, some smut, a lot of good characterisation and love for the English language. Alternatively, threesome. Mmm.

I have stored some links to my favourite Doctor Who fanfics in my memories here. Unfortunately, there's hardly any Nine/Rose smut, but I can really recommend loneraven's "After Ever Happily", "Flowers for the Doctor" and "Lovers 'tis almost Fairy-Time". Her fics are very sweet, but in a good, not-sappy way. Maybe you'll like them in spite of the lack of obvious romance.

And there is not nearly enough cosmic karma in the world... But I do hope for you that your day will end on a better note than it started out with.
