misscam: (Nine and Ten)
[personal profile] misscam
Did someone just try to add me to their MSN list? I think I accidentally pressed no. Try again?

Doctor Who Children in Need special. Hum.

OKay, David Tennant is cute. I admit it. And Ten definietly had his moments of charm, though hard to say quite how he'll be yet given that he was clearly going a bit regen mad. But hand!porn clearly lives. Loved Rose's reaction to it all.

Can you change back?
Do you want me to?
Yeah.
Oh.
Can you?
No.

Sniffle. I'm so torn between missing Nine something terrible and warming up to Ten. The world is so cruel. I'll have to give it some more time. Roll on the Christmas special. Maybe it'll even inspire some Ten fanfics. Just as long as I don't give into temptation and write the Nine/Rose/Ten threesome my head is offering as a solution for my conflicted feelings...

"All I did was change" should definietly go on an icon, though. I might even use a Ten icon with that. But what was with the Jack mention? That one is going to have to be explained, because... Huh. What the...?

Also, Tennant's real accent? Shaggable as hell.

So everyone is out watching the new Harry Potter movie and squee'ing - am I the only one who kinda not care? I enjoy reading the books, but I've never been that interested and I could care less who ends up with who. I've never fancied Snape and I quietly cheer Neville and none of the deaths have depressed me even for a minute. And the movies - eh. I'm more excited about Narnia this year. Yay, Narnia!

Veronica Mars has also failed to grab my interest, despite several tries. Just leaves me vaguely bored and disinterested and wanting the football back. Must be something wrong with me. How sad.

Meanwhile, yet another GAFF wank. Groan.

I still need to get used to this new Dr Who thing, that and I keep forgetting what time it is on. >_> David Tennant is cute though.

You're not the only one who doesn't really care about the new HP movie. I tend to prefer the books myself.

Yes, he is. And his real accent - oh yes. Oh yessss.

Yeah, I do prefer the books, but I don't really get that mad over the books either. I'm such an outsider.

You have no idea how happy I am to see that David Irving is facing the possibility of prison. The man is a an embarrassment to those studying history, and the historical academic community as a whole.

From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
Yeah, but is that in itself a crime?

The whole thing troubles me, I gotta admit. It's more likely to make a martyr out of him than anything.

I have to agree. DT looked interesting and Ten shows promise. But I still miss Nine.

And yes, WTF? I don't get that Jack reference at all. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm heading out tonight to see GoF. I saw the first movie, was not particularly impressed with it and then passed on the next two. But this does look intriguing. Plus, I want to see the dragons. But overall I generally prefer books to the movies.

Well whatever is wrong with you in regards to VM, must be wrong with me. It does nothing for me.

C-Span covered our House of Representatives last night. It got very, very nasty. The Rethugs seem to realize they're losing and are striking out. They got a bit carried away. Something about one of them calling a 37 year vetran of the Marines a coward.... Dig the hole a little deeper boys...

From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
Good to hear I'm not alone.

Everyone kept telling me VM was right up my alley and I would adore it like whoa. So it feels a little sad that I don't - not sure what they saw in it for me. I think the US high school setting throws me off a bit, though. So not something I can easily imagine. Our system is very different.

Do they seriously fling "coward" insults in the House? That's right up there with unpatriotic in lameness.

I became reconciled to Ten/Tennant thanks to the soul-soothing ministrations of fanific. I still miss Nine and I think he'll always be *my* Doctor but I think RTD is good (and wise) enough to have Ten affect some of the mannerisms or speech patterns of Nine to ease us all through.

I think Ten will do soulful very, very well. Poor thing.

And Jack!! My wank is Rose changed Time - past and future and the new timeline has eased into Ten's bones.

Hey!

Weren't you thinking of adding a little addendum to ...(the name of the fic has escaped me but the one where Rose went back to see Nine and they ended up having teh hawt comfort sex while Ten was somewhere out of sight). I think we chatted about the idea of new memories washing over Ten as the timeline changed. Yup, that's my wank (and shameless beg) and I'm sticking to it.

Hopefully. But on the other hand, being too close to what Nine is will just make me miss him even more. The trick is to find the balance, I suppose.

*pets Soulful!Ten*

"Passing By". Yeah, I think you aired the idea after I confirmed he would indeed remember it. I was a bit hesitant about it because I'm a characterization slave and didn't want to write too much Ten with no idea what he would be like. I still feel I need more to pin him down. I don't want to write him wrong.

How badly do you want it, though?

::waggles eyebrows::

Real bad.

Just thinking about Ten, going about his business, eating a croissant or something and having the memories of Rose's skin under his fingers, of her flushed face as she arched into him and her trembling with the aftershocks of their *spectacular* joining, just crashing into him unawares....

Well....

::fanself::

Oh, yeah, I want it real bad.

Name your price woman!

7. Hot men.
8. Other nice surprises.

You up for one of those, I shall give you your fic.

I remain faithful to Eccleston, which will probably result in me going psycho and getting on Fandom Wank. I just don't like Ten as much as I did Nine-he didn't grab my attention like Nine did.
The Jack reference was a bit weird, I agree. The regeneration-going-wrong was a bit random, but it'll make sense once I've seen The Christmas Invasion. I am trying to like Ten, really I am, but...argh. Nine.

*pats* There, there. Everyone has their favourite Doctor - yours can be Nine. I promise I shan't forget him - though I'm warming up to DT's Doctor, I rather do think CE will always be my Doctor.

I join you in "meh"ing over the movies. In the line for GoF, some of my friends almost had multiple orgasms when it was announced that we only had half an hour left. I agree with you about Snape and the romance, though I did tear up a bit at the sixth-book death. (SPOILER ALERT OH NOES).

A resounding YES to Narnia, though I am somewhat annoyed that they're making a videa game out of it. Somehow, I don't think Lewis would have approved.

Gah - didn't log me in.

Narnia rocks my socks. Unfortunately, I have this innate fear that they'll screw it up somehow. *twitches*

Yessss, the fourth movie was interesting, but I like books better. Daniel is still a "meehh" actor, but his crying over Cedric was tearful for me, mainly because...well, it made me a little weepy inside (deep DEEP inside).

All movies get a computer game these days, it feels like.

Though the concept of playing Aslan-Jesus kicking ass has a strange, twisted appeal.

I liked the movie ^^ And I like Veronica Mars ^^

Sniffle, sniffle. I shall get over it, I shall. Eventually.

It's not as much as I dislike them as I don't like them enough, really.

It's not wonderful. It's a killer bunny to make Monty Python proud.

Yeah, I lvoed it way too much and made it my first real Ten icon. Sigh. I'm so weak.

Thismakes me very said indeed...Not because you don't like it (De gustibus non disputandum est, as the Latins said) but beacuse this means I'll never get to read wonderful Cam's fic in this fandom *weeps*

As for the HP films...I do enjoying watching them, but I totally like the books better. And I did never care much about the pairings..I must admitting to totally fangirling Snape, though...(but that's Alan Rickman's fault!)

You weren't too likely to get it anyhoo - my muse is firmly glomped onto the Doctor of late. Not sure there'd be much room for other fandoms. Alas for anyone not DW-minded.

Alan Rickman has much to be blamed for in terms of spreading Snape fangirling, he does.

That's precisely the reason why I'm trying to get into DW fandom. I don't want to miss any goodfic, since there isn't enough around...

Eh, you're right. I've loved AR since his days as the Sheriff of Nottingham...

There never is, not even in DW fandom. But there is some. And I write madly, of course.

AR is good, but I've never fangirled him, not even in Sense and Sensibility.
