Bro and I were out driving and had the radio on, listening to a debate on Bush's year. One of the guys in the studio was a Burke or something, speaking for "Republicans Abroad" (Marius: "I can tell by his hard accent he's a Republican." Me: "How so?" Marius: "He wields Norwegian like it's a machine gun and we're the terrorists.") and of course the reporter manages to at the end address him with "Thank you, Mr. Bush..."

Going a bit Freudian there, reporter? (Marius and me: "Mwhahaha!")

Found this via [livejournal.com profile] evilstorm - Times on fanfic. Whofic gets a mention - so does Cassie Claire's Draco triology. Hum. So some Times reporter has been wandering around Whofic, has she? I wonder what she's been reading... Please tell me she hasn't just read some of the dreck there of late. (Like this. Why oh why is that on Whofic? Oh yes, and it's a spoiler for season two of the series.)

Hahaha..your brother sounds fun.

I enjoyed the lutefisk link a lot. Even if I still think lutefisk is scary. But, as one of the capitons read:"One of the attractions of the lutefisk feast is that even if the wobbly main attraction frightens you, there are piles of trimmings to tempt."*lol*

As for the meme..uhm, Harry Potter!

I know what you are thinking: what a bunch of geeks.

Yep, that's me, I'm a fanfiction geek and proud of it.

". . .the occasional gem of such superlative quality that it enhances one’s appreciation of the original. One from the Harry Potter genre is The Draco Trilogy by a twenty-something New Yorker who writes under the pseudonym Cassandra Claire (access it via the fictionalley website.) You couldn’t make it up."
Personally, I'm not a fan of the Draco Trilogy. I started reading it but my eyes burnt out from some of the grammar.
