Those damn germs

As was to be expected, of course. I scored high on Buddhism and Unitarian Universalism as well. Scored very poorly on various Christianities and Islam. Obviously, I'm not conservative religious material.
Trying to reconstruct the bloody chapter I lost, but of course I've forgotten all the little jokes, just remembering the mainline plot and structure. Pfft. Oh well. I'll have to think of new ones, I guess.
Some of the people on the PPC board are complaining about the Mithril awards and not getting nominated. Hard fandom to get noticed in, sometimes. You can put your whole heart and soul into your work, and hardly get acknowledged. Never fun to feel overlooked. OFUM scored two nominations, but I must admit I was rather 'eh' about the whole thing (I was honoured, of course, but I didn't instantly forward the e-mail to my friends or squeal happily) . Perhaps I've recieved so much praise for that silly story I'm just spoiled, or perhaps I'm more thinking about real life issues these days. Who knows? Then again, I'm from Northern Norway, where we don't really do endless praise. If something is good, we say it is good, and end it at that. So when I get reviews and e-mails telling me I'm brilliant, my brain just gets confused.
Then again, I'd rather not have an ego the size of the planet, so it's probably just as well.
Ugh, the annual flu is coming on. I should go home and crawl under the duna. Bugger. I always get sick this time of year (and during February, as that is Norway's winter. I get two winters. Fun). Last year it was bronchitis, which is Evil. Bloody Aussie germs. *shakes first* Oh well. Better sick for a few days now then to get it while Saz is visiting or just before I go home (not long now, baby). I'll just stay in bed a few days. Mmm. Bed.
