"I feel like I've shagged a dozen different men! Who are you, Doctor?"

Why do my brain come up with ideas that involve writing Rose shagging all ten incarnations of the Doctor we've had so far? I swear, my brain is on crack. And it demands I find a culture that has ten named seasons, or invent an alien culture that has ten seasons. Heeeelp. Course, I also then have to watch all the Doctors in action so I can write them well and aaaaargh....! (I really hate you sometimes, brain.)

So, any of you willing to rec episodes that give me the essence of each incarnation (minus Nine and Ten and Eight, really)? I can't watch the whole show all at once, after all, I'll go mad.

Also, my beta seems to have buggered off for sure, so - I am looking for a new one. A Brit would be preferable.

And I'm way behind in fic reading. Sigh.

Got your gift, [livejournal.com profile] falena84. Thank you! Had to show it to a few people, who suggested I spit in it when feeling peeved. Snerk.

One... er... cheat and go pre-series so he's not ancient?
Two - Tomb of the Cybermen
Three - Err... Green Death?
Four - Anything from S17?
Five - Maybe Kinda or Mawdryn Undead?
Six - Revelation of the Daleks is best but he's barely in that so... er.. oh, you could watch The Two Doctors and kill two Time Lords birds with one stone?
Seven - Curse of Fenric or Ghost Light

I've already considered that point on One, believe me. Though the thought of Rose and a grumpy bugger somehow appeals to some clearly sick, sick part of my brain.

Thanks for the recs! I shall see what I can hunt down. Humhum.

I recommend the following, to get an essence of each incarnation. I can't tell you for all of them, but I found that the Five Doctors can fill you in on what I missed out. I'm using that for my characterisation of all the Docs in my multi-doc story that's never going to get finished :):

Four: City of Death hands down.
Six: Trial of a Timelord any of them, really.
Seven: Rememberance of the Daleks

I'm also willing to help out in any way - with old-skool questions, or with questions on the characterisation of Seven since I seem to channel him well.

I also agree with Nos on using the Two Doctors. That's definitely a good one for Two and Six. I completely forgot about Tomb of the Cybermen *facepalms* And I call myself old-skool.

For Seven, Ghost Light works too.

Good, good. I shall scribble you down as possible Seven!channeler.

Rose shagging all ten...?! *blinks* O.o Okay, I think my brain just broke.

You're trying to kill me, aren't you? It's all a sick and twisted, evil Norwegian plot to take over the world, isn't it? You'll release the crackfic and we'll all be doomed, DOOMED, I tell you, DOOOOOOOOMED!

I'm shocked - shocked! - at the kind of evil you imagine me capable of. Can't I even have a fic idea without you lot thinking it a part of world domination plots now??

I am hurt and shall go cry now.

There's fic ideas and there's fic ideas and then there's '*blink* NUUUUUU!' ideas.

Besides, don't think we don't know about you buying up all world stocks of lutefisk only so you can then flood the market and send the dollar into tailspin. *shakes fist* We know your sort.

*hands over box of tissues* Please don't cry, MissCam. *feels guilty now* See? You're going to rule the world and make US feel guilty about it. 'Tis a gift, you know. Genius. Pure genius. Evil pure genius, admittedly, but genius nonetheless.

;P

And my brain is now broken. Especially after I saw all those pictures of Colin Baker where he does bear an uncanny resemblance to a 1970s pr0n actor... Gah.

And don't forget, Colin played a raving military loony bad guy on Blakes 7 as well :)

Weird, seeing five feet of black leather and chromed spikes topped with a curly blond mop.

Well, I'd be no use whatsoever on Classic Who because, even though I did watch Three, Four and Five as a kid, I remember precious little about them. Even if I do now have my trusty Doctor Who reference guide. ;) But if you're looking for Brit-English help I'm more than happy to offer any assistance I can.

Your friends give great advice. :)

And your brain is scary. In a 'genius scary' sort of way.

The Five Doctors should give you enough of a sense of One, Two and Three. When it comes to Four - State of Decay, Terror of the Zygons and Horns of Nimon (the only Who Ep that ever gave me nightmares) should see you home. For the oh so delish Five - Black Orchid and Castrovalva are my picks.

Man, I was about to rec State of Decay. Vampires! Adric! The Doctor's clear and obvious love for Romana!

The, um, telex printer on the TARDIS!

If you're looking for a beta, it would be my honour to assist, despite the fact I'm not British. At least I'm not one of those Americans that wants to compulsively change everything to an American style... I prefer the British style anyway.

British style rules!

But I do need someone to Brit-pick a bit as well. (I am more familiar with Britishisms than a lot of Americans, I think, but I am still not British.)

British style owns my grammatical soul... I just wish I was exposed to it a lot earlier in life...

And that's understandable, but hey, if you're in a pinch, I'm more or less always available. (As for Britishisms, here's one we Americans have never gotten: exactly what in the name of Anubis, Thor, and the rest of their respective pantheons posessed the Brits to name an edible dish 'spotted dick', of all things?)

Despite the fact that I'm only a lurker here, I would have loved to be your beta, as I'm Brit to the bone and have read your stories with delight. Sometimes with evil delight. But alas - I have a full-time job and far too many hobbies. Though if you really can't find anyone, send me a note.

Also - Rose and Ten? Oh, yes. The evil half of my brain loves the idea.
(The other half is gibbering in terror.)

Because you're the local medium for fic ideas that could be weird/kinky/squicky but because of you, somehow just work. So write on!
