Fanfic Ramblings
Mar. 4th, 2006 09:39 pm"I feel like I've shagged a dozen different men! Who are you, Doctor?"
Why do my brain come up with ideas that involve writing Rose shagging all ten incarnations of the Doctor we've had so far? I swear, my brain is on crack. And it demands I find a culture that has ten named seasons, or invent an alien culture that has ten seasons. Heeeelp. Course, I also then have to watch all the Doctors in action so I can write them well and aaaaargh....! (I really hate you sometimes, brain.)
So, any of you willing to rec episodes that give me the essence of each incarnation (minus Nine and Ten and Eight, really)? I can't watch the whole show all at once, after all, I'll go mad.
Also, my beta seems to have buggered off for sure, so - I am looking for a new one. A Brit would be preferable.
And I'm way behind in fic reading. Sigh.
Got your gift,
falena84. Thank you! Had to show it to a few people, who suggested I spit in it when feeling peeved. Snerk.

One... er... cheat and go pre-series so he's not ancient?
Two - Tomb of the Cybermen
Three - Err... Green Death?
Four - Anything from S17?
Five - Maybe Kinda or Mawdryn Undead?
Six - Revelation of the Daleks is best but he's barely in that so... er.. oh, you could watch The Two Doctors and kill two
Time Lordsbirds with one stone?Seven - Curse of Fenric or Ghost Light

Date: 2006-03-04 08:56 pm (UTC)Four: City of Death hands down.
Six: Trial of a Timelord any of them, really.
Seven: Rememberance of the Daleks
I'm also willing to help out in any way - with old-skool questions, or with questions on the characterisation of Seven since I seem to channel him well.

Date: 2006-03-04 10:13 pm (UTC)Besides, don't think we don't know about you buying up all world stocks of lutefisk only so you can then flood the market and send the dollar into tailspin. *shakes fist* We know your sort.
*hands over box of tissues* Please don't cry, MissCam. *feels guilty now* See? You're going to rule the world and make US feel guilty about it. 'Tis a gift, you know. Genius. Pure genius. Evil pure genius, admittedly, but genius nonetheless.

Date: 2006-03-07 04:15 pm (UTC)But I do need someone to Brit-pick a bit as well. (I am more familiar with Britishisms than a lot of Americans, I think, but I am still not British.)

Date: 2006-03-07 05:55 pm (UTC)And that's understandable, but hey, if you're in a pinch, I'm more or less always available. (As for Britishisms, here's one we Americans have never gotten: exactly what in the name of Anubis, Thor, and the rest of their respective pantheons posessed the Brits to name an edible dish 'spotted dick', of all things?)

(The other half is gibbering in terror.)
