Except to make this very clear. If I spot anyone on my flist making such remarks or otherwise showcase such attitudes, they're right off it. Same goes for homophobic remarks. I don't like stupidity, and those things are stupid, offensive and a waste of my time. I don't care what we might have in common otherwise, or if we share a fandom or if you make splendid icons or write fab fic. Certain things I will not let slide in my playground. Okay?

Sometimes it's ignorance, sometimes it's fear, sometimes they say this poison just for the sheer hell of it...
All you can do is challenge it wherever you come across it...hopefully one day the penny will drop and a person will realise that their opinion is hurting people...
And I know that just helping one person to see sense can make a really big difference.

It doesn't matter- because in the end, if Christians (or anybody) calls other people hateful things like that, not only will they be backpedaling and reversing any good work they might have been doing towards bridging differences and sharing Truth, they make it so Christians *deserve* to be called awful things. I can no more call them hateful things than I would be able to tolerate somebody judging me by Phelps. And that's what so many people do with the Muslims- they judge the whole, the women, the children, by the hateful and disgusting terrorist minority.

I don't let it slide in RL, and have been lucky enough to not run into it before now (it always seems to be you who introdues me to new horrors - must be because you never run from them).
And one thing I hate almost as much as those who behave like hateful fucks are those who think that behaving as such is wrong, but don't say anything, who just let it slide because they don't want a confrontation or they don't want to offend anyone. That's almost as bloody bad - letting people get away with that, or gods, even worse, feigning agreement for the sake of an easy life, just burns me.
So hearing (seeing?) you say so unequivocally, so definitely, that It Is Not Okay brings a warm fuzzy feeling to my heart.
