I'm FREE! FREE! FREEEEEEEEE!
Jun. 16th, 2003 01:07 pmThat's right, darlings. Camilla has finished her take-home exam, and thusly, University. FREEDOM! Sweet, precious freedom! I'm freeeeeee!
Ahem. Marius called last night, and we chatted for an hour and a half (that'll look lovely on the phone bill). He'll come by train to pick me up when I arrive back home (mum and dad are on holiday with the car), which is rather sweet. Of course, him ringing gave me the rather sudden realisation that I leave in less than two weeks. Shit. That's no time at all, especially gievn Saz coming to visit. I'm gonna be home in less than two weeks, people, graduated and all. Shit.
I'm gonna miss Australia. In its own way, it's a lovely place and there's much about it that's great (also things that aren't so great of course - John Howard, I'm looking at *you*). No more endless summers, no more possums walking over my roof, no moresnakes in the backgarden, no more beers at the pub while convincing Aussies moose really are lethal (snerk) killers and no more cricket on TV. I was almost growing fond of cricket in a weird, 'how can they call this sport?' way. Sniffle.
Yiaks. I'm leaving Australia. I'm torn between endless happiness at impending graduation and homegoing on one side and leaving Australia and the freedom of studying on the other. Yay. Sniffle. It's just like when I left Norway two years ago to move here - I was happy to go and sad to leave. Two conflicting emotions both fighting for control.
Help.
