Aaaw, gay ducks!
Apr. 6th, 2006 11:20 pmIs it weird that I was touched by this story about the gay ducks? Basically, they've been a pair for over three years, and they come to Malmø, Sweden every summer, where they frolic about and aren't interested in the females. They defend each other if needed, and their kind of duck mate for life, so they'll stick together until one dies. Aaaw.
(The article also makes a point of mentioning homosexuality occurs among other species of birds as well, and thus isn't "against nature" as some so loudly like to claim. Nature's full of it, science has documented. So shut it.)
Even made icons for them, because they are adorable.

Date: 2006-04-06 11:12 pm (UTC)I heard about a group of gay flamingoes a couple of years ago, though it wasn't true love so much as a crazy orgy. So possibly not relevant.
