"The audience is laughing at me!"

Aaaw, David Tennant. (Was watching "Ready Steady Cook" earlier.) Aaaw, David Tennant's dad and his awesome Scottish accent.

Meanwhile, I've managed to get a spring cold, which might be related to me biking in the rain the other day. Whoops. My nose is stuffed, my voice is croaked, and my brain is whinging. Lovely. Ah well. Maybe some Easter marzipan will cheer me up.

Also, am writing a DW fic for [livejournal.com profile] lotus79's upcoming birthday, muhahaha. And she wants Nine/Rose/Ten and so it will be. After a fashion. And with an actual plot, shockingly enough. I am kinda mean to them all in this one, though. Whoops.

Skeleton discovered still by TV after three years dead.

Whoops. Also, ew. Did no one notice the stench?

In today's meme:
Recommend one story you've written that you're proud of, any genre, here on my LJ. (And don't go 'well, I find this crap, but...'. Pick something you're proud of, genuinely, no stuttering or attempts to get reassurances from me.) I be curious.

Haggis? *squirms*
Well he is scottish, so it's to be expected... how'd he do?

From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
I thought he did very well, actually.

But David's chef won, probably because David was being all cute.

Oh, it was David and his dad? Cool.
What did David make?

Date: 2006-04-13 10:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] misscam.livejournal.com
Yes, both were on.

Chicken and rice and various veggies. He also tried to peel oranges, which was fairly amusing.

Ah, now I'm following. ;)

His dish sounded more tempting, I have to say.
Sad to have missed that actually, seemed like fun, but then again... scottish accents would be enough for me to watch anything.

And it took them three years before they finally went around to collect the rent, too. Euhm, yeah.

Ready Steady Cook! XD I'm such a loser, I love that show. ♥

Meme response: New York Minute (http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2754499/1/). Probably the one fanfic I'm genuinely proud of.

Hee. Seems quite fun from what I could see.

Hum. Interesting format there.

Skeleton discovered still by TV after three years dead.

I just find that terribly sad. Because it means that nobody missed that poor woman, nobody thought of checking on her when she jsut, uhm, dropped off the face of earth.
She must have been so lonely. *sniff*

That's modern society for you. There's ever more of us, and yet we manage to be utterly lonely.

I'm proud of this story. Original fiction, dark, and short. I want to make it longer, but aside from that, I like how it turned out.

It's here. :)

Ready Steady Cook! Oh man, I've got to download that asap.

Meme response: Do You Love Me?. It's the one that I'm the most proud of at the moment. When inspiration struck, it struck hard. That's one of the few fics I've written in one day. (And it's short ;))

I'd definitely agree that you're right to be proud of that one. :)

Me? I think Blood on his Hands, because it's different from just about anything else I've ever written: it's dark and stays dark, is sparsely written and is fairly full of imagery.

So, [livejournal.com profile] misscam, how about you?

I find it a little sad that no one missed that lady. You'd think at least one person would have realized she was missing.

Meme response: I write mostly drabbles so you get two (Plus I can't pick between them). :P
#1, Draco from Harry Potter.

#2, Kate/Abby from the TV show NCIS.

I have my spring sinus infection right now *shares various broths and zinc tablets with you*

As for a fic I've written that I like, strangely enough, this ficlet (http://velocityofsound.livejournal.com/31833.html#cutid1). Because I have a case of rather pathetic and crushing self-doubt, and I have to admit I sometimes feel pangs of jealousy because so many people can write such lovely, romantic stories and I'm off in a corner writing from the POV of corpses and over-analyzing myself to death. But I just wrote this one in a shot, and it felt nice, and it still feels nice. It makes me think I write stuff like that, if I wanted to, and that's a comfort.

Strange bird, I know.

How utterly sad for that woman.

My story It's the only one I've ever put online, so I guess I'm proud of it. It actually not truly a story but more of a character exploration.

I'll pimp. This is a story I'm proud of because it's the first gen I wrote that I liked and because I managed to actually get the humor right. Humor can be really hard to do.

It's the only story I've ever written, so naturally, I'm proud of it. It's a Maeglin angst fic, from the days when I was obsessed with him.

In response to the meme - I'm proud of Hope and Dreams (which you reviewed some time ago, many thanks for that), and my three 50lyrics drabbles.

Talk about skeletons in the closet... *grimaces*

David and his dad were so utterly adorable. It was all so very Awww.

And you are writing more Nine/Rose/Ten? Excellent.

As for the meme thing: Subject 1452. It's technically a Firefly/Serenity fanfic - it's based on concepts from the movie - but it was written for my Creative Writing folio last year, and as such I tried to avoid most fandom references, so non-fans could read it and all.

That or the HP fic I never got around to putting online.

Hmm, meme...

Okay, I'll bite. This story here, Never My Soul if you're in a LOTR mood. Or this collection of POTC crossover drabbles When Drabbles Attack! All four drabbles are actually a bit over one hundred words, the muses put them on steroids, I think. I also believe my muses were drunk at the time, as all four drabbles are humor drabbles. It's also the only way I can explain the last one, which is essentially a three-way crossover with a dash of a fourth at the end.

And stopping now, because 1.) You have two choices: a vignette or a four drabble collection, and 2.) my kitty keeps trying to type in the window here. Or he's trying to get to my strawberry cheesecake. One or the other. :)

A Matter of Detail, ST:DS9, Ezri/Julian. Light fluff to counteract the sad ones on this LJ entry. :)
