Remind me to never ever again let a dentist convince me to have a wisdom tooth out. Ow with the ow with the ow. I thought he was gonna pull my sodding jaw off there a moment. And now it aches and my mouth tastes like blood and lovely, really. It's also that time of the month and I feel like a miserable sod, basically. LOVE ME

This wank got a bit interesting as well. I've always assumed it's rather common courtesy to ask before you archive, but the Internet always has a person of the opposite opinion somewhere, whatever the opinion.

Moment of doom: Brother IMs me and asks to read a fanfic of mine. Oi. Also asked that it wasn't "not too sappy", and I got to wondering if I wrote anything *but* sap (as judged by a male, even if it is a male who likes Pride and Prejudice). Ended up giving him the file with Arthur Miller's Wrong, as it was the only I could think of rather sap-less then and there. He knows CSI, and not Doctor Who yet, though he made vaguely threatning noises about reading my stuff after he's seen it this summer.

I'm so dead.

But aside from that, we had a lovely chat. My brother and I are fairly close, and get along splendidly, which is nice. I've decided to share some of the money I'm getting with him, but I'm still pondering how much. (Me and bro.)

And yes, I owe five drabbles, but my mind got all focused on a fic and I've written 5000 words and am feeling the urge to finish it first. You'll have to forgive me :P

Heh. They are just doing their jobs, poor people. And he was very apologetic about the mess of it all. I'm just annoyed because I didn't as such need to yank it, it was just better that way, and it turned out to cling on more than expected.

I'm getting my own wisdom-tooth stitches out this weekend. My face on that side has been all swollen for the last four days; I've had a constant earache to add variety to the horrendous pain in my jawbone. Two nights ago I attempted to eat pasta and ended up actually crying with pain, and I, Miss Cam, am very good with pain. I suggest you stock up on soup, jelly, pain medication and the kind of gum ointment that contains cocaine as a main ingredient. And do not, under any circumstances, attempt to eat solid food. It's so not worth it.

I had all four of mine (wisdom teeth) taken out about 3 years ago because they were starting to come in and it hurt like a bee-otch. That and they were impacted. I looked like a chipmunk for at least 5 days after that. Thank God for frozen peas.

heh, after about the first day or so I was able to function a little bit. They put me on Oxycodone. Wonderful stuff, but you'd never be able to sleep. 5 days after I had them out (Superbowl Sunday) I went to the Aquarium with my brother and a neighbor and nearly passed out. I just got so tired walking around. . .but then I had a caffinated soda and felt better. But what was I thinking? LOL!

I got 2 of my wisdom teeth removed about a year ago, but when I went for my six month checkup two weeks ago, they grew back 0.o I guess when they took them out the first time, they didn't get the roots or something. But yes, I just had a consultation for oral surgery and now I get to have four of them removed in two weeks. I hate teeth.

I had all four wisdom teeth out under general anaesthetic about seventeen years ago, because they were impacted. I don't remember anything about the operation itself, but the week following it was agony. :( It was my first year in a new country and I lived alone in a horrible flat - thankfully, some relatives scooped me off for a few days to convalesce, and fed me liquidised food and soup, which was all I could eat. Ick. Never want to do that again.

But I can't imagine having one yanked out while awake - argh!! Hope you're feeling better soon! First root canal then wisdom teeth - you're having bad luck with dentists lately. :(

Ouch. I feel your pain. I had a tooth pulled about a year ago and I could feel everything, even though the dentist said he'd used the novocaine. I was like, dude, I can feel the pulling and he just looks at me like I'm insane or something...hurt like hell.

I hate teeth.

Ouchie and ouchie. I hated having my first wisdom tooth out - my ex was also my Dentist at the time, and yes he charged full price for the procedure skinflint.

Did you get the familiar 'instant wave of mortification' when a family member asks to read you fic (similar to when you are reading fic and your significant other creeps up and reads it over your shoulder)?

Ouch! I don't want to scare you, but since I had my wisdom teeth pulled, my jaw makes freaky cracking noises when I open my mouth too much. I guess it was all that yanking that screwed it up.
And sometimes I'm left with my mouth open, which prompts me to move my arms around frantically until I can close it. (Of course, my coworkers think this is hilarious.)

Phelps is an asshole beyond all imagination. Seriously, I live WAYYY too close to that impotent mo-fo. Like, 3 hours away. Makes me very angry, and I consider myself more conservative than most my age.

And the dentist thing does not make me happy... I have to get all my wisdom teeth, second molars, and another random tooth cut out because they told me my mouth was too small.

My mom just laughed and told them, "Too small? She never shuts up!"
