Happy May/Labour Day, all (and a lot of other babble)

My International Labour Day - spent mainly chatting with lotus79 and adoralyna, feeding tasties to the cat, eating tasties myself, bemoaning the football last night, wishing the Progress Party would STFU already and reading wanks. So basically, I spent Labour day doing no labour at all, which feels oddly fitting.

But I have decided I so need a 'Take me, Time Lord' icon, for 'lo, they amuse me so. And also, I am mean.

I could say a lot about School Reunion and how it was made of awesome, but everyone else already has, so I will merely restrain myself to adding for once Cynical Cam and Fangirl Cam got splendidly along. And it's potentially worrisome that I have named various parts of my brain. Hum. And now I'm all thinking about next episode, and how badly some of my fellow shippers will wank.

I'm gonna have to say it'll be a tie between Grissom/Catherine and Sara/Greg at the beginning and then eventually over the summer, it'll evolve into a huge allship war in which nobody is safe.

It'll begin as small petty reasons as to why it was wrong for them to get it on or whatever, it'll lead to bashing of all the characters until it gets to the point where members of one ship are actually starting real life war with members from another... alright it might not go that far, but I predict this summer will be plentiful with wank and fandom bashing.

GSR, hands down. Everyone who abandoned ship (so to speak) will come back and everyone who thinks they didn't want it onscreen and everyone who doesn't like how it was played out and everyone who is so deliriously insane they'd be thrilled if both characters were drugged on an alien planet...well. Yes. I think the other factions will be furious, but I don't think they'll quite have the insanity in all 32 flavors.

(Are there actual spoilers indicating this? 'Cause...be still my shippy heart. That might even prod me into finishing a WIP, or something.)

GSR certainly has the quanity of shippers, making the wank amount large. Humhum.

It'll be a close one, but ultimately, I think the SS Geeklove will flounder the most from wank. Gil/Cath and Greg/Sara will get in some early craziness, with Gil/Cath being the worst, but ultimately, GSR will implode in a fount of internecine warfare over the summer the likes of which the rest can only dream of, although the rest of the 'shippers will try really hard to out-wank the Geeklove. Also watch for the noromos to fire off a quite a few rounds.

Yes, well, as an infrequent lurker at F_W, I realize that only LotR can even get close to the Holy Grail of Wank compared to HP (I watched Crystalwank unfold from roughly page 60) but indeed, I expect to see CSI show up more than once over the summer.

If I can get my butt in gear, I think it's fair to attempt a chapter before the, erm, Big Bang...I'm imagining lobbying on the parts of the rest for Ecklie to contact TPTB and have the whole ep shut down. And then after--all out war. Or mass suicide if the scene gets cut or edited down.

I voted for the Grillows camp, simple because I think they're the wankiest, next to the GSRers. I think generally (well, from what I can judge, which is mainly that Yahoo group...) the GSRers may have quibbles with how it's handled, but overall will be okay with it, so long as we have something that tells us that Sara is something more than a friend to Gil.

However, I'm not putting it past the GSRers to go the batshittiest, of course.

It was a tie between the GSR shippers and the Grillows shippers. So I picked Grillows because they seem to be the ones that would get the most pissed about a GSR resolution. The GSR shippers on the other hand, would be the ones to gloat the most, to bitch the most, to fangirl the most (myself included-OMGTEHSECKS). I dunno. It's a toss up. May the best 'ship win.

I voted for Grillows, because all the "Gofias" are Gil/Cath shippers in the first place. It's too bad, because all the g/c shippers on my flist are like, the sanest people in this fandom.

Plus, the really crazy ones are on elyse's csi page instead of talkcsi so they've eluded most of the fandom so far, but they won't be able to when this happens. A fair amount of them are freaky noromos as well. THE SCIENCE, GOD SAVE THE SCIENCE ON THIS FICTIONAL 40 MINUTE SHOW THAT'S NEVER EVER BEEN REALISTIC ANYWAY.

'School Reunion' was one episode I wished I could have seen. Sarah Jane, K9, and Anthony Stewart-Head in the same episode :) *envies* Now, if they'll do an episode with the Brigadier, I can die happy :D
