I sincerely hope that the last 30 seconds was a dream, because if TPTB really want to put GSR on the show, give the viewers some respect for taking this journey along with them for the last six years. Let them in on how they arrive at the destination, and once they get there, pull out all the stops and put it over the top in such a way that even the naysayers or cyincs like myself would wholeheartedly buy into the romance.
A non-GSR shipper shows up at YTDAW - THE GSR gathering place - and posts that theory. Guess how that one goes down... Really, if some people are so keen on smeaing bacon-grease all over them and walk into a lion's den, I'm sure other ways could be arranged.
Dan/Emma shippers are a-wanking
Which does remind me - O Doctor Who fandom, you know I love you. Well, most of the time. But could you try not to creep me out with some of this Ten/Rose - David/Billie transferance? When I see icons with "love" on what's clearly David and Billie away from the whole DW setting and not actually acting, it does vaguely bug me. When I see a lot of them, I start to worry a bit. When I see comments taking David and Billie being cute with each other as a score for the Ten/Rose ship, I'm just wigged out. Please not to be confusing things, okay? Because actors are not the characters they portray.
Slight fic preview of "The Problem of Watson", the Ten/Rose fic I'm fiddling with.
A murder, it is known, requires at least two parties. There's the victim, sometimes aware and sometimes not, but no one lives to compare and decide which is best. There's the killer, sometimes with regret and sometimes not, but the result always remain the same. Life is taken. Sometimes with blood, sometimes not, but always, always with force.
One ancient act. A million little consequences. Two parties.
Except, sometimes there's a third.
The innocent passing by. (...)
He's still wearing the silly Poirot hat and the glasses and the goofy, goofy smile and watching her with expectations she almost knows she can never quite live up to, but will keep trying until he tires of it, and she should just walk away. Go home before the addiction to star dancing becomes unbreakable, embrace normality while she still remembers it. But she doesn't.
She just kisses him, forcing him to part his lips before the force of hers, her mind distantly entertaining the idea that a girlfriend is a stronger part than the sidekick.
In the 'karma can be a bitch when others deliver it' line:
Prankster gets prank pulled on him - his apartment is turned into a giant hamster cage
In other news:
Montenegro looks to have voted for independence
Czech politicians exchange blow at meeting for angry dentists (At least their politicians gets hands-on. And they seem to be having an interesting election campaign, as indicated by this also.)

Date: 2006-05-22 06:26 am (UTC)Ah, aren't biologists great? What they mean with that warm fuzzy sentence sounding like they'll hug and cuddle the thing a little is this:
a) shoot it with an aneastheatic dart. Ouch.
b) Put on a collar much like the ones dogs get, but bigger and heavier which the bear can't get off
c) then follow its every move. Probably watching it 24/7
Welcome to Germany. No wonder bears rarely come to visit

Date: 2006-05-22 01:47 pm (UTC)But the BAFTA pictures were so cute /whine It could totally be The Doctor and Rose...if the Doctor grew a shaggy beard and outfitted himself in a kilt ::thud:: and Rose woke up and decided that three pounds of make-up perhaps might be a bit overkill.
But Tennant and Piper? Nah.
::is v.v. confused over cute pictures::

They've got a GSR cruise going on...which I may have to abandon le wank shelter for, for a bit. Hey, I can't resist a WP attended (possibly nekkid)golf lesson, and a chance to give him an ass tattoo.
