Norwegian evacuation effort from Lebanon stepped up

We're apparently helping some Americans, French and Swedes as well. Apparently, the ship had a greater capacity than said in that article, so we're helping other nations out. Which is nice. Good on the crew, too.

But of course, the Lebanese people have no such luck. Always the civilians who get screwed, I'm telling you. Feh.

In not so depressing news, Norway's ranked well in a tourist survey and a tourist catches huge fish in Norwegian fjord. Heh, Norway. You're a cute thing.

So I have written over 4000 words on "An Adventure in Norway" (my little post-Doomsday thingie) just setting up my story and that's not even covering the first year of a planned sixty years timespan. Hum. I'm not sure that's a good sign or a bad one...

But writing sure helps in not thinking about this shit in Lebanon or that shit in Iraq or the mosty forgotten shit everywhere else, that's for sure.

That is the biggest fish I've ever seen.

My writing keeps me busy trying to remember things from 8 years ago... total pain in the butt trying to remember if a song would have been out, or what news would have been known.(thank god for Wikipedia)
