Complications and Simplicities

I'm feeling slightly annoyed of late. Maybe it's all the OMG!DRAMA!OMG!Complications! wherever I turn. Ever had a desire to hold a blinking neon light with "ENOUGH" to the world?

But I have fallen in love with the "complicated is the whole point" quote (it's on one of my Catherine/Warrick icons, if you missed it. Actual quote from the show), so maybe I shouldn't say anything. (And that quote would make a kickass subtitle for a multishipper place, I'm telling ya.) Maybe complicated and drama is why we can love the simpler things.

Like Easter marzipan and writing for the joy of it. But sometimes... Sometimes I almost do miss the younger, younger me, where the borders of my life was far as I could walk and one day seemed the longest time.

But memories are illusions - though like the best illusions, with a hint of truth. We do construct our memories. Perhaps we also construct simplicity. The world is so complicated that making a shelter of the simple is alluring. Perhaps that is what I like to do in my little Norwegian cocoon. And perhaps that is why I get annoyed when it is disturbed.
