Cam hates mornings
Jul. 21st, 2006 06:08 amOh, hello there, six a.m. What foul fate brought us together? Wait, I know - ah, work.
Why can't I just win the lottory and live relatively rich ever after?
Also, LJ, I want a permanent account. Offer one up already so I can snag it? I would be much obliged. (I need more icon space as
fondued_jicama makes me more and more shinies.)
In today's meme: What is a good reason to get up at six a.m in your view? "Shagging David Tennant" will not count since you can always sleep in and do that later. If you're Sophia Myles, anyway.

Date: 2006-07-21 04:15 am (UTC)Obvious reason for being up at 6 a.m. -- heat-induced insomnia. A good reason? None I could think of, says this non-morning person. Really none.

Date: 2006-07-21 04:18 am (UTC)Travel, maybe. If I were leaving for a trip to Europe, I would get up that early.
I love your shinies. Both this one and the one you used today in my LJ are so pretty.

Date: 2006-07-21 04:19 am (UTC)Ah, but staying up to six a.m is another matter than actually getting up at it. Even if I feel you on the insomnia.
Mornings are evil, except as a time to sleep in.

Date: 2006-07-21 04:24 am (UTC)Travel, yeah... But then you tend to sleep at weird hours due to jetlag anyway.
:) I have gathered up a nice collection by now, I feel. Icons are weirdly addictive.

Date: 2006-07-21 04:25 am (UTC)And I regard that as the wisdom of the day.
Well, I'll probably be up at 6 a.m. on Sunday, too, but then I'll have been partying all night, which is one excellent reason I forgot to mention.

In my boring case, work. I don't need to get up that early just to go to work, but watching an episode or two of Angel before going to work would justify the insanity. (Also shagging Spike would be an added bonus.)
But I'm a morning person and I'd rather get to go home early than sleep in. (Unless it's with Spike.) :P

Date: 2006-07-21 04:48 am (UTC)I can think of no other reason to get up that early. It's 11:48pm here (central Canada), I didn't know that there was a Six AM these days.

Date: 2006-07-21 05:09 am (UTC)I've been getting up at five AM every day this summer except for two of them for work. If there is a good enough reason for a person to be awake that early besides making money, I have yet to find it.
And now, I shall go to bed. Night :P
Good Morning Norway!
Date: 2006-07-21 05:11 am (UTC)We just hunker down in our air conditioning and wait until September. The good news was that the ocean water was 85F/29C yesterday and it was like being in a bathtub. There was even a family of dolphins who swam by and scared all the tourists.
Why up at 6:30 am? In my case it's usually because I have a cat digging at my head with his claws because he thinks he should be getting breakfast. I'm not even allowed to go back to bed, he'll get me up again even after I've fed him.
I'm pwned by a cat!

Date: 2006-07-21 05:33 am (UTC)1:30 AM here in Pennsylvania, and since I have to be up by six-thirty too, I should probably be asleep. But I have to go pick up my brother from work -- that's my reason.
....not really a good reason so much as, 'He'll take my car otherwise and I need it reason', but still.

Date: 2006-07-21 07:51 am (UTC)Good reason to get up at 6am? To start downloading last night's Doctor Who.
Bad reason? To sit in a dentists waiting room only to get a proper appointment in a month.

Date: 2006-07-21 08:12 am (UTC)Dammit, that would've been my first choice. So.... a) you won't forget to get the garbage out before it's too late, and b) Thinking about things (or even moving a finger) won't result in a torrent of sweat

Date: 2006-07-21 09:09 am (UTC)a) because it's the one time of the day when it's possible to DO things [after 7 a.m. you can only dream about Antarctica];
b) the cat wants food/coddling/catnip/a more-or-less willing playmate;
c) the morning is damn' beautiful,so! ;)

Date: 2006-07-21 09:57 am (UTC)As for the meme, darn! - You discounted my reason!
Well, since I can't go with shagging David Tennant, I'll have to go with competions. I'm definately not a morning person by any account, and absolutely nothing will get me up before the lastest possible time except for the promise of spending all day throwing a 12lb ball at things while stuffing my face with sugar-filled goodies, and possibly winning money and shiny things for it.
A reason that happens slightly more often would be that if I come in late one more day this semester I'm going to have a dalek set on me.
Enjoy your morning, hope you make it through the day :)
