Happy Wednesday to all.

I've realised I don't much like Wednesday. It's sort of the day before you can start look forward to the weekend. Damn tease of a day, quite frankly.

So after I got a tip last night that David Tennant was in He Knew He Was Right which is airing on our little NRK, I managed to catch it last night. It was episode five of six, sadly, but I got a sampling, anyway. David's character is quite sleazy and is engaged to a character called Camilla. You can imagine that amused me.

I still think I prefer his character in Blackpool and Doctor Who. Mmmm-mmm.

Speaking of which - a few of you have been around other fandoms like me. Am I the only one who sometimes get visions of horror as I see someone I recognise from another fandom in not such a good way start getting into a fandom I really love?

Because I'm having those, oh yeah. Why must I be haunted? Woe. I can almost taste coming doom.

I was going to. And I was going to include picture examples (because of the hot) but I fell out of my chair looking through my (now meagre) stash.
But that's an interesting meme. Good idea.

There are, yes. And sometimes it's almost worse than in "regular fandom" because of the RPS (of which there is far too much). But most of the time visions of horror go away (especially when your community pretty much says "do not be lusting and causing drama or you will be banned" in the info). Or they find another bandom to bother because the band wasn't played on MTV or something.

But I think fandom will change in years because people will decide "I don't want wank or hate here, so I'm not going to contribute to it" and more people will follow suit.

Greetings! 53 wins now, cos I've been busy today.

Bought me a new monitor! Now I have a flatscreen LCD instead of my old CRT. The cat was quite confused a few minutes ago when she attempted to jump on top of it and realised there was nothing to jump on

I remember when I was on prac last year Wednesdays were a love/hate thing. getting over the hump and heading downwards, plus the fact that I had DOTT time in session 5 (aka can go home early ;) So Wednesday morning feels quite futile, but the end of a Wednesday can be quite good.

Not sure I quite get the meme, either... So I have to pick someone else to be my mother? But I like the Mum I have already?

I know I've seen it happen a couple of times, but specific examples are failing me.

What really filled me with dread one time was recognizing someone on the official Bon Jovi fanclub message boards two or three years ago as someone from the Power Rangers fandom that I had not so pleasant memories of. Sure enough, this person ended up making a lot of people angry on the message boards for - in the opinion of many - cheating people out of their money by claiming to have several old fanclub magazines for sale. I have no clue where this person is now online, I just hope they're not lurking in any of my fandoms anymore, waiting to cause unpleasantness again.
