Mini wanks and a little news
Aug. 3rd, 2006 01:59 pmI dreamt my brother and I were travelling by bus to Alta - which is way, way to the north in Norway - and I was trying to work out if I'd make it back in time for work that I wasn't sure if I had. Hum. Then we had exciting adventures involving Puss in Boots and the bus stranding us somewhere in the great unknown.
Quite. Is my brain trying to tell me something aside from the fact that bus travel is tedious, I wonder? Or is it tied to a possible new job? Humhum.
Also, shiny football lusting icon, whee!
Meanwhile, CSI fandom is somewhat quite before the onslaught of season seven, but wanks a wee bit.
Shagging for abandonment issues!:
I think that Sara has some abandonment issues, which might be why she turned to sleeping with Grissom, I mean, think about it, Grissom has talked about leaving the lab for years now, like in Ellie when he said he was testing to see if Warrick was a suitable replacement for him. Sara must know this, I mean, it's not a secret in the lab that Grissom is thinking of leaving, so to keep him there, what does she do? She acts on his feelings for her, which tempted him 2 seasons before, she knew that if she acted on them and gave him something more, like sex, to be tempted by, he wouldn't resist. Grissom is like a father figure to her, and she wants to keep him there.
Think about it, he was talking about when he dies, when he leaves, and she said she wasn't ready to let go. I think anything she did with Grissom is simply due to her abandonment issues.
When shipwars invade other ships:
It's a GSR war in the C/W thread? Oh dear
So how do you define 'reasonable', then?:
We are mourning a great show that has been horribly slaughtered. And a wonderful man, Grissom, has been changed irrevocably. Some of us even feel that he has been killed. We are very angry, and are therefore, as you say, boycotting CSI . I think we're being quite reasonable, don't you? I would boycott it too, but I don't posses sufficient will power.
Oooh, back-handed insult!:
I think there are a lot more people who like the GC pairing although they, being older, have other interests in their lives.
When a parrot is silent, the people doest wonder:
I just wish he would say something. They are back at work, so why hasn't he appeared? Wouldn't you think TPTB would be eager to trot him out before the media now, with a script that will parrot all of their statements? Maybe he's refusing?
And in today's 'why are you posting this to a *Catherine/Warrick* mailing list?' e-mail:
OK, I changed my mind on this, I think that the person for Grissom, was Catherine. All though you will never get me to hate Sara, I have way to much in common with her, and way to much admiration for her triumph over tragedy. This however does not mean that because of that I want her with Grissom, cause I do not. Grissom is to Catherine as Heathcliff was to Catherine.

Date: 2006-08-03 12:49 pm (UTC)An emotionally vacant obsessive gypsy with anger-management problems and unexplained sources of money to a screeching harpy who couldn't make up her mind when her life depended on it? They put the 'fun' in 'dysfunctional'.
I still loved the book.

Date: 2006-08-03 04:10 pm (UTC)I really love the book, but that's so not a healthy relationship. What did Grissom and Catherine ever do to the fans to deserve this fate?

Date: 2006-08-03 02:38 pm (UTC)Somehow, I doubt this poster is aware of numerous commentator's hypothesis that Heathcliff could actually be Mr Earnshaw's hidden child, therefore Catherine's half brother. Or, even without adding incest, that it's one of the most unhealthy passion ever written. Did we read the same book?
"Belgians are among many to claim they invented French fries":even the French support Belgium on that claim, which makes the nomenclature battle even more absurd than it already is. But it's nice to see that diplomacy is making significant progress somewhere in the world.Sigh.

Date: 2006-08-04 06:33 am (UTC)Landslide pictures remind me of the tv movie 10.5. It was shown on NBC and had and train rolling along and then the ground opening up beneath it. I hate extreme weather. It's been around 38 degrees celsius for the past three days and each day I've had to move out of my room after sleeping for awhile to come down to go back to sleep on the couch because I wake up too hot.
Freedom fries was the government's way of acting like children.
