Nov. 9th, 2006 08:04 amRandom thought of the morning:
Why must 6 a.m. exist for me to get up at?
Wah.
On the bright side, no more Rumsfeld! WHEEEEE!

Date: 2006-11-09 09:15 am (UTC)7 a.m. is only better by a hair, but 8 a.m. is tolerable. I could live with getting up at 8 a.m.

Date: 2006-11-10 01:33 am (UTC)6 am is evil, evil, evil!
Yesterday, I was having lunch with a fellow liberal colleague--ostensibly to talk about a project but spending a good deal of time mulling the election.
We walked out of the restaurant, and there is a big-screen TV feed on the building across the street.
There it was! O Beautiful Headline, O Words of Glory, O Announcement of all Light and Joy Returning to the Shores of North America:
RUMSFELD STEPPING DOWN!
I couldn't get the words out; he wasn't looking at it, and I just squeaked and pointed frantically.
There followed a most heartfelt collective gasp of, "YES!!!"
It's been a lovely 48 hours.
