Notes O'Fandom and Life
Nov. 15th, 2006 12:49 pm- Why do people hate Rose so much, the OP asks, and quite frankly, I'm amazed it hasn't really gone terribly wanky yet. Then again, some of the more dedicated Rose fans haven't shown up yet, so maybe that is why.
- "TomKat has arrived" announced a headline in Norwegian newspaper VG. Talking about Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes arriving in Rome, of course. ARGH MUSHED SHIP NAMES NOW EVEN IN THE MEDIA KILL IT WITH NAPALM
- Flying Spaghetti Monster wank for the win! Except it made me hungry. Fooooood.
- Why am I addicted to reading the ratings thread for Veronica Mars over at TWoP when I don't even like the show? It's just - the theories, the speculation, the despair, the hope - it's like watching a drama.
- I love my cat, but he sure tests that love when he wakes me up at four in the morning and then again at five. Especially when I have to get up at six.
- I didn't know Robert Jordan was deadly ill until Wikipedia informed me. Shit.
- My father is actually on Wikipedia. I am impressed.
- Someone at work today actually petted my hair. With permission, mind you. She just wanted to feel it because it looked all shiny this morning, apparently.
- Weather is playing silly bugger. Hmpf.
- Grrr. Just grrr.
- Among the most obnoxious phrases in the English language must be "you don't understand my paaaaaain". I've seen it like six times this week. And every time I wished Bailey was there to reply. Oh, Bailey.
You got any notes to contribute?

Date: 2006-11-15 12:47 pm (UTC)Just a bit ago, there was a newsitem on tv about a big iceberg on the way to New Zealand (they showed a helicopter nearby, which gave you quite an idea about the iceberg's size). They also said that an iceberg of that size was very unusual for that corner of the globe.
All signs of Global Warming, if you ask me.

Date: 2006-11-15 11:58 am (UTC)* BoM/ - can't be trusted if you're planning a picnic. Trust the lounge room forecast instead.
* This makes Piecesof cry. Like a baby. She isn't sure why, because no-one else in the house wept; but it's brilliant nevertheless.
* This, however, will never not make our house laugh until we die.
That's the latest from HoS. Back to you, Cam!

Notes to add?
Well, new Bozling-isms from my 'not yet 2 year old' include "botdot" (football), and "keebar" (penguin), which may amuse.
Oh, and I love our new cat (we're back up to three cats here), but sultanas and croissants are NOT suitable cat food. Or washing-up sponges. He won't be told, though.

Date: 2006-11-15 12:44 pm (UTC)This Rose fan saw it and decided to stay the hell away. :-) Better for my blood pressure, and all.
ARGH MUSHED SHIP NAMES NOW EVEN IN THE MEDIA KILL IT WITH NAPALM
They've been doing that here since last year, with prizes such as that, and "Brangelina" and... *gag*
Notes to contribute... in the news this morning, there was a little old lady who managed to blow up her house (not with anyone in it, thank goodness) by leaving a lit cigarette next to the oxygen tank she needs to breathe.

Date: 2006-11-15 03:28 pm (UTC)Ew. And now they do it in Norway too. This shit needs to die.
Ooops.

Date: 2006-11-15 12:44 pm (UTC)This made me laugh. My father actually calls Cruise Tomcat, as the only movie he knows him from is Top Gun, where his character was flying an F-14 Tomcat. *lol*
This said, why do batshit celebs infest my country?
Weather is not wintery enough for my liking. *sigh*
How did I miss a deity involving Italian food? How?
*clings to Veronica Mars and stays in denial-land as far as ratings are concerned*

You were busying reading fanfic and wank?
How's the weather in denial-land, then?

Date: 2006-11-15 12:45 pm (UTC)Or the "jealous and clingy" thing. That seems more like a fandom-Rose trait than a canon-Rose one.
Hm. And now there's too much Analytic Thought going on in my head for the pre-breakfast hour...

This doesn't bother you, Cam, does it? If I figured it out, everybody else can...Anyway, feel free to delete this comment.

no subject
Date: 2006-11-16 07:10 am (UTC)However, the cause of it is more unsure, since the world do go through cycles of heating up and freezing all by itself. How much our influence figure in, we just don't know.
I say err on the side of caution still.

I had linked to the exact same article about the change in laws in my LJ :) It's things like that that are a constant reminder of how lucky some of us are to live where we do....
