Okay. So David Tennant and Billie Piper are cute when sharing airways.

I still ain't reading RPF about them, though.

Had the longest day yesterday. In addition to work, my dad begged me to come help him with setting up a database thingy for him. Of course, that took me hours and I've ended up feeling like a zombie all day while doing borning, boring work. Think my energy batteries went flat. But he gave me a gift as thanks today, so that was okay. I'm still wondering if I should eat some brains or something to feel less dead. Ponder, ponder.

Random thought of the day: When two people or two groups have gotten into a certain antagonistic relationship, they're just always going to take everything from other side in the worst meaning and ever increase the dislike, aren't they? Think I've seen at least three examples of that this week, and in different fandoms, too.

Makes me wonder sometimes if fandom needs mediators to hash these things out. Or an ombudsman.

In other news:

Norway fourth best democracy in the world - Sweden tops, Iceland second, Netherlands third, Norway four, Denmark five, Finland six. Five out of six top spots go to Nordic countries. Not bad for our little region. US was only 17th, UK 22nd.

John Barrowman to marry longtime boyfriend. Aww.

Doctor might be charged from giving AIDS as the cause of death. Sigh. Some stigmas don't go away.

Danish ad about the speed limit under fire. I must admit the last line was what cracked me up. Yes please? I'm certainly willing to drive slower for some nekkid ass. How about you?

I need to lay on the couch and be lazy for real. Mmmm. Lazy.

Yeah, I have no desire for RPF about these two because they seem so genuinely happy with their actual significant others. RPF always dies stillborn for me when the actors successfully hook up with other people. I'd feel like I was raining on their parade, even if they never knew about it.

Wow, that AIDS thing is really incredible. If anyone should be accused of unprofessionalism, it's all the other doctors who incorrectly put some other cause of death for the reason. Holy crap, that's all messed up.


But, yay for John Barrowman, and yes, the David and Billie picture is cute. I'm not going to read RPF for it either, mostly because I just don't care. But I do imagine that will increase the RPF movement in their favor.

When two groups enter such a stage they seem to find easier to build a big wall in the middle.
Maybe because there's a certain tendency to shoot freely on the ombudsman(=ombudsman don't last long enough to make a difference)?

RPF has, on occasions in a few of my fandoms, been one of my favourite 'on the bus to a special hell' guilty pleasures. Such a shame one always gets lumped in with tinhats, but then I guess that's what tinhats on every side do - give everyone else a bad name.
