*collapses in a heap*
That's all the Christmas gifts minus immidiate family done. Wheehee. Quite exhausted, though. But also got my hair cut, so feel all accomplished. Watch yer mailboxes, those of you on my gift exchange list. If you haven't already recieved it, anyway. It would be good if you could tell me when you get it. And if you want a card, e-mail me your addy soonish.
Trying to figure out what to get me? Well, there is my Amazon.co.uk wishlist and if nothing there appeals or hits your pricerange, here's a list of other stuff I wouldn't mind.
1. Books - particulary historical books I will go through like whoa. I like pretty much all genres, minus self-help books.
2. Pop-Tarts. Love 'em. Chocolate, vanilla, sundae and caramel in various variations are the preference.
3. Icons or banners or other graphics made specifically for me. Never get tired of that. Banners for fanfics I've done is a particular favourite.
4. Cute cat stuff, for the cat or just with cats on. I adore my cat. Gifts for him are as good as gifts for me.
5. Unusual t-shirts or t-shirts I definitely can't get in Norway. (Large size to accomendate my breasts, please.)
6. Photographs of nature. Animals or landscapes, love them both.
7. Hair accesories. I have more stuff for my hair than I have make-up. Go figure.
My address can be found here, if you're on my flist. Okay, enough Christmas for a while, or I might get sick of it before December has even hit us.
An icon snatcher gets defensive:
I make icons for people to enjoy, and people do. The pictures everyone uses to make the icons in the first place don't belong to us, so we can't claim them as "ours" If you want to complain about how I screwed with your icon, do it on your personal journal, not here. You can think what ever you want about me, I don't care. I used your icons because I liked them, a lot. If someone did that to mine, even if I had said don't edit them, I'd take it as a compliment, because to me, that means that they see something that can be improved, something that can make your icon more enjoyable to other people. Think about it in a positive way.
*tilts head* I swear I've seen fic plagiarists use pretty much the exact argument. To which I ponder - how much of a compliment is it really to see praise given to someone else for what is your work?

The Unpopular Opinions Meme
01. Post this on your journal.
02. Your friends will comment with some of your fandoms.
03. In a new post or in comments respond back with one or two of your unpopular opinions for that fandom. (EX: I love Lana! I don’t care about previous seasons of Doctor Who!)
04. Tag some friends.
My fandoms: CSI, Doctor Who, Grey's Anatomy, House, Lord of the Rings.

I'm doing a second round of Christams cards/gifts, as I had missed some in my early-bird ways. *lol* And I haven't even got started on the RL friends gifts. Heh.

Date: 2006-11-29 11:36 am (UTC)I do quite like Grissom. But he's had a good run and so has CSI. I'm more a fan of quitting at the height rather than dragging it out until slow death.

Date: 2006-11-29 12:03 pm (UTC)Good point made, and I would have to agree. It's just.... i can't imagine Cath taking over the CSI Lab in LV if Grissom leaves.
