I got a few gifts already. Saz sent me some Doctor Who with Two, which will be interesting to watch. Got a book on Italians from Elisa and got some cute figures from Jen. Thank you all :) I expect there shall be more gifts later today. I did get cake already. Mmm, cake.

Date: 2007-02-21 12:15 pm (UTC)Brrr. Finland is a bit colder than Norway in temp, though. We got the Gulf Stream heating some. We do have cold, cold winds from the sea, though. Today had one. They said on the news that it made it as cold as -25 would be. Brrrr.

Date: 2007-02-21 12:12 pm (UTC)Weirdest gift I got for not my birfday but Christmas were two: a blank CD (I insisted that my friend give me an original CD for Christmas, so he bought an original blank CD from Sony) and a katol, which is like this spiral candle thing to drive away mosquitos and flies. It doesn't even cost more than $1 US.

Date: 2007-02-21 12:15 pm (UTC)I don't know if this really counts as weird (maybe only slightly odd), but last year I got a box set of old monster movies from my brother. It's not the movies that I found weird (they're the old b&w Frankensteins, Draculas and Wolfmans), but the fact that my dear brother had bought the (probably kinda expensive) set which included the little collectible monster busts as well. I mean, sure, I have LotR collectibles and so on, but a Wolfman bust? Now they sit on my windowsill and I'm still a bit confused about what to do with them. :) But the movies are funny.

No, not a car or something else a newly mobile teenager would want, but a lamp made out of an actual clarinet, with keys and all. I played clarinet, but I really didn't understand the gift or like it. Years later, now I love it. It has moved with me to 3 states.

I got a Powerpuff Girl activity set when I was in high school, and it had all kinds of PPG stickers and markers and the like and was in a Buttercup shaped container. I still have that, though. Saved the stickers.
