The squee! It is back!

Smith and Jones. Nothing groundbreaking, really, but it filled me with love and squee and just joy. Doctor Who is back! And it really just confirmed to me how much I love the show.

Also that I am horribly fickle and have jumped on Martha/Doctor while also having Rose/Doctor live still. That moment when he goes "Her name was Rose. And... We were together and..." he's so cute and widdle and he wants Rose to be okay so much he believes so I can too. And then there's the undercurrents going with Martha going at the same time. Oh yes. I can like it like that. Also plus for moment when he's carrying her body and it's raining on the moon. Brilliant. And mouthing the words to "it's bigger on the inside". Which the show is, basically. There's just room for so much of what you want to put in the show in there. Which in my case includes snogging, aka "genetic transfer", aka "silly plot reason to bring out some pretty and embrace inner shallow".

I ramble too much.

In conclusion, I AM A MULTISHIPPING h0r. I'm now going to need a Nine/Rose/Ten/Martha OT4 icon. Slutboi alien tease is such a flexible way to ship, really.

But seriously, it did make me like possibilities of Martha/Doctor without taking away love for Doctor/Rose and that is just win. And most of all it was just the show I love, being back.

I'm sure after the squee dies down I'll find lots of fault with the plot and everything, but it just worked and it felt good and it made me grin stupidly. Must now show it to brother, who's visiting for Easter, to see if he gets happy grinning also.

I've been anticipating this episode so much that it didn't really hit me that the season has now started! It's back! And it was goofy and funny and sweet and I enjoyed it so much.

And I think I'll also be able to multi-ship (or at least, not hate the idea), which actually surprises me. But I like her. And I liked his Rose angst.

Can't wait till next week :)

Oh I totally understand where you're coming from!

I was excited as well but it definitely had to do more with the fact that the show is back and the entire episode really pumped me up for the new series. I forgot how fun David Tennant could be as the Doctor, all the running around barefoot, crazy hair sticking up and all that jazz! Just wonderful!

I am with you! My response to this episode was, "I'm so fickle!" as well, because I really like the Martha/Doctor dynamic. Also, I like that if they do play the relationship angle, it will be different than the Doctor/Rose relationship, which was full of pure devotion on both of their parts. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit of bickering and tension. :)

For some reason, the end of the episode made me long for Martha/Nine fic, which is odd, but your Rose/Martha/Nine/Ten OTP idea is ACE!
