So, tell me o people, if you ship, which of your pairings would you most like to have seen/read a sex scene between? And why that pairing in particular? (For instance, I'd rather see one between Catherine and Warrick than some of the other pairings I might enjoy more - simply because those two are totally hot.)

And is there one pairing you really like you'd just not want to see/read a sex scene between and why is that?

Finally, who do you not ship but totally secretly read porny fanfic for? Surely there are some of you out there...

I have an ever curious mind. Indulge me?

Am back in Norway. It hasn't rained yet. Yeah, I know. I'm as shocked as you are. Sadly, work starts again on Monday, but I'll probably get more free time again in September. Cross your fingers.

And, as for pairings. I should like to read lots and lots of hot sex between Two and Jamie, but most people seem to ship them wildly and yet not want to read sex between them. Which crushes my sad soul, because I want pornfic. I especially want pornfic for Two and Jamie.

As for pairings I ship that I don't want to read about, probably Six/Peri. I love them, I totally think they were doing it, I just don't care about it enough to want to read it. It does nothing for me. Probably because I don't think there was much emotional connect between them, in the way I see it... I think they were just shagging for fun. Which is great, and I do love that sort of shagging, butI generally like a bit of emotional zomg yay too. I dunno.

Also, um... from the new "Battlestar Galatica" I ship Tigh/Adama, but I don't want to read about their pornsex. Possibly because they are both wrinkly old men, but I read Patrick Troughton and Tom Baker sex, so that has less to do with it. I just don't have a desire to read them, I guess.


And I'm trying to think who I don't ship but I read fic for. I've read more than enough Five/Tegan, who I absolutely don't ship... but I've only read them in conjuction with Five/Turlough or Turlough/Tegan stories. So maybe that counts? But I almost never enjoy the Five/Tegan, and often skim it, hahhaha. Ah well.

Right now? Doctor/Master is who I want to read sex scenes about. Because their totally codependent and dysfunctional dynamic (definitely spurred on, in my mind, by the glut of fic that's helping to created this kind of "fanon" for it) is half made up of sexual tension. *facedesk* And I'm not really one for hate!sex, so it has to be a bit more than that to keep me coming back.

Though that doesn't keep me from wanting to read porn about any of the other fics I ship. Bring on the (good) Doctor/Martha, Doctor/Rose Doctor/TARDIS

I think Nine and Rose loved each other muchly but don't want to read Nine/Rose sex scenes (Nine reminds me too much of my father for picturing him in a clinch with anyone to be anything but weird). I would love to see more Four/Romana smut because I find all three actors involved quite sexy, but I'm not holding my breath unless I write it myself. I don't 'ship Four/Sarah Jane (I do think they loved each other, but not romantically, whatever "School Reunion" claims), but have read some very well-written sex scenes between them. Doctor/Jack and Doctor/Master are other don't-ship, do-read-the-smut favorites.

I'd really like to see/read Ten/Martha/Jack because aside from the absolute hotness of that it's an OT3 that really interests me, in terms of dynamics and character. Nine and Rose is a pairing I don't read not because I don't think they loved each but because Nine looks enough like my Dad to make it well..disturbing. As for not shipping but read - I read a bit of Gil/Nick but I don't really ship them as such.

The porn I read has little to do with how attractive/hot I find the characters and more to do with the dynamic and the issues it would explore, though it's awesome when the characters are messed up and hot. Grissom/Sara obviously, and even though Kara/Lee from BSG are both sexy as fuck, I read it because they're both damaged and any sex between them results in some sort of emotional mindfuck that explores the characters. This is why I love reading Snape/anyone sex, or Sirius/Lupin (neither one of which I find all that attractive in the movies), or Baltar/Six.

I lovelove the Snape/Harry dynamic/ship, but I'd never want to read porn about it, including the fics where Harry is an adult, because something about it doesn't ring true and I just can't imagine it. So I stick to the nonsex fic.

My secret guilty pornfic-reading pleasure that I don't even really ship is definitely Wilson/Cameron from House.

1. Five/Tegan. Cos he's repressed, and she's argumentative, which all equals hot in my book. ;) Also, Harry/Ron/Hermione, because I can't choose, dammit.

2. Snape/Lily, cos their love is a little too innocent. Also becaue she's dead, and my interest centers mostly on the Harry/Snape dynamic it creates. And vandonovan has a point; Two/Jamie fits here for me, too. I think it's that I don't really want to see Two as a sexual being. Innocence, again.

3. Doctor/Master. I dunno, I usually only read stuff I ship at least to a certain extent.

Ok the sex scene I'd love to be canon is Jack/Elizabeth simply because Jack is such a sexual creature and Elizabeth soooooo wants it. Poor Will is strictly missionary and doesn't quite know how to make her come, whereas Jack could break the girls back and have her begging for more.

Non-sex would be Ten/Rose. As beautiful as it was it's Who and it's wrong. I'm sorry. Not that heavy petting would be out of the question though ;)

I ship Doctor/Rose, but usually like the UST too much to read the sex. I prefer it vague, or angsty, and even though I can think of more than a few really cute, playful, and porny Doctor/Rose fics, I don't usually search them out. It's just hard for me to believe that the Doctor would have sex with Rose. Because even though I believe he really loved her, I don't think he'd even let himself have that sort of relationship with someone he knew he would lose.

And I don't ship them, but I would die happy seeing a Doctor/Master fic. Oh so happy. I just. *sighs* They're so screwed up and crazy and it would never work out, but I could never pass up the opportunity to see the angst-fest.

Doctor/Jack is also a guilty pleasure, as well as Jack/Tosh. I don't exactly ship them, but exploring those relationships would reveal so much about the characters! That and Jack is really, really hot, so. XD

I'd rather read romance for John/Aeryn, but John/Chiana sex would be admittedly hot (and, actually, I prefer to write pairing I don't see as "the most obvious" because I want a certain something from them that I don't feel I can bring). It's more attractive to me because it isn't meant to be, because he could have, he didn't. & it isn't because he isn't attracted to her -- she's grabbed his nethers enough to make sure he likes it. It's just ... he can't do that to her, because she's a girl defined by her sexuality. & so their sex would be SO FUCKED UP.

Pairing I'd want to read: Despite my most fervant wishes, Helo and Chief did NOT have a threesome with Boomer and/or Sharon. Because oh my LORD, so many ISSUES, with Chief completely unsure as to what the hell he is now, and Sharon's relative comfort in her Cylonity, and Helo's humanity-on-parade. I can also be persuaded to read Laura Roslin with just about anybody (except for Zarek, for some reason).

My OH GOD NO Pairing: I don't really have one for BSG, though I'm not usually too keen on 90% of the Lee/Kara out there, and anyone-but-Six-or-Gaeta with Baltar gives me hives. In Firefly, it's Jayne/River (which is funny, cause usually I heart cross-gen). And in Doctor Who, I just don't like Ten/Rose. It lost all its allure when fandom went collectively batshit. Now, Nine/Rose, OTOH . . .

Don't Ship, Just Porn Pairing: In BSG, I could never see it in canon, because it would ruin their buddy-cop vibe, but Kara/Helo in fandom is OH SO HOT. i don't really read a whole lot of porn; if there is any in a fic, i tend to kind of pass over it, but sometimes i'll skim. anyhow, i agree with hadria on kara/lee. an incredible mess, but what incredible chemistry. and perhaps john/teyla from stargate atlantis. one is laidback and has been known for "kirking" and the other is level headed and strong; and there is plenty of mutual respect.

i love mal and inara. but i don't see the need to read anything overtly sexual. there is simply so much between them without that. just watching them looking at each other is enough. ditto for josh and donna from the west wing.

i can pretty much go with any ship if it's well written and it makes sense. but if i were to hunt down porny fic for people i didn't ship, i'd have to say nick and catherine. he's such a gentleman and very empathetic; she is extremely confident in her sexuality. that would be something interesting.

The kind of smut I like the best involves pairings that are somewhat dysfunctional or plain fucked-up (Logan/Veronica, Snape/Hermione, Mal/River from Firefly). Naturally I don't mind lots of sex with pairings where the eye-candy factor is high (Ten/Martha, Chase/Cameron, Catherine/Warrick Wash/Zoe -- looks like I might have a thing for mixed-race couples?) and I really really like it when there's a lot of banter and snark during the sex (Logan/Veronica, House/Cuddy or Snape/anyone fall into this category).

One pairing I really like but don't care much about the sex is totally Vorenus/Pullo, because a)I'm not a great slash fan b) because they are, well, just too bloody Roman for their own good. They wouldn't want to take their relationship to a physical level. It wouldn't work. Platonic love for the win!

And I must confess I secretly read porny fic for Hermione/Draco. I don't even like Draco, he's a whiny brat, but I find the idea of him and Hermione secretly shagging around Hogwarts really hot.

No clue how exactly I stumbled in here. BUT. Exciting questions! And I can't help but answer. So. Hi! Here are the results of the German jury my personal answers to the problem.

(1) I ship/I want sex scenes: Rose/Martha - obviously. Because there is too little fic for them. And they are hot! Sprinkle that one with some good characterisation and you have me in a puddle of goo at your feet or something like that.

(2) I ship, yet/No sex please, we're German: Rose/Doctor - well, not really. It's just in fic, it needs a lot to pull that off to my taste and liking. So, I'm very careful when looking for such fic.

(3) I don't ship, yet/I read the porn: Jack/Ianto - now, I hate the show that shan't be named with a passion. Yet, spiderine wrote/writes a more parter that I read and enjoyed. For perverse reasons.
