Okay, have seen all the comments on my last entry and anyone who has said they want to do cards, I'll do cards. I'll be asking for addresses in a screened post later.

Meanwhile, I've led my first 25-man raid in WoW and I want snow. Norwegian bleakness in autumn can be rather melancholy and makes me write melancholy stuff. Blah.

In other notes:

This wank made me laugh more than I should. Holy defensive Robin, Albert! And I say this as someone not fond of cleaning either.

Asshole, please. Spider made you rape? Fail on so many levels - but first and foremost for being a sad enough dick to rape in the first place, of course.

Speaking of fail, WTF is this? The book is being released in Norway apparently, and as I've been reading up on it, my mind boggles more and more. Then I read that the book claims all the bad that happens to someone is their own fault - and rape was specifically included - and had a brief moment of rage. Not to mention the main purpose of this thing seems to be getting your material greed satisfied. How... Betterment of mankind, truly.

Uh-oh for those who enjoy various American shows. That said, I'm behind the writers on this. Mainly because I'm usually in front of the big business, rolling my eyes.

Time to go home in November rain in Norway. Blah.

The Secret cheeses me something fierce as well. I get the 'Think positive and all will be well!'-school of thinking, I really do. But gOing 'If you're suffering, IT'S YOUR OWN DAMN FAULT!' is just 'Argh!' Bad things happen, regrettably, but please not to be blaming the victims.

I don't. I can get "turn lemons into lemonade, here's how." But "life is sparkles and glitter" inevitably turns into something really screwed up, only starting with "... and if it isn't, it's your fault."

Meh, I'm always inclined the universe will ultimately be working in my favour. It doesn't, I know. But that's why I can always see why people believe in the 'Think positive!'-line. And like you the flipside cheeses me off, since the universe doesn't care about how we think, things just happen and not all bad things that happen are your fault.

Yeah, that's what is making me get all GRAGH about it too. I'm all for positive thinking, but blaming the victim is the bloody opposite of that. And also the shallow, materialistic push off it cheeses me off something serious.

Gruul's? *envy* I have little patience... leading a gaggle of gamers through anything over 5-man makes my hair fall out. They never listen.

Sorry, my inner nerd comes out when I find another person plays the same game I do. Talking to the husband about it gets old :O

Gruul and Void Reaver. Both down :) My guild is mature people, though, mainly in their 20s and 30s. (Just a few exceptions.) So it's not so bad to lead, and both Gruul and Voidy is pretty much on farm status. Most people know what to do.

We finally started playing with Magtherion the other day and that's a whole other paingame. Got the dps to do it, people just don't click the cubes right. But once we do that, he's going down like the annoying demon he is.

And feel free to talk loads about WoW here - most of my flist is very not interested, heh.

That is a funny wank. Persecution complexes are so *funny* if they don't end in someone climbing up the bell tower and thinning out the neighborhood. That's not so funny.

The Secret is a pile of drivel that's been around in various incarnations for as long as humans have been capable of pointing and laughing at the guy who can't get his shit together. Did you know there's even a Christian variation? The "Prosperity Doctrine"--name it & claim it, and if things go badly, it's just because you didn't pray hard enough. Bleah. Chica just repackaged an old, bad idea and is now making herself rich with it. Bully for her.

I feel vaguely ill. That's just plain revolting, really.

You know, if prayer makes people feel good, then I have zilch issues with it. But it troubles me if it motivates a sort of passivity - the world gets better by praying, not actually trying to change things through action. That troubles me a bit - that sort of thing you mention seem to be a revolting version.

Spiers said the bite left him suffering from headaches

Remind me to use that defense the next time I get a migraine.

WTF.

I am so tempted to come up with a Spiderman joke... but that would be in awful taste.

A New South Wales judge jailed him for eight years on Wednesday.

Please don't tell me this means that the sentence for rape in Norway is less than a day.

Huh? Sentence for rape in Norway is several years, depending a bit on the particulars.

The Secret gives me the shits. Thank you, Australia, for putting that drivel out there.

Yep, I support the writers but I wish the producers would settles things quickly. The thought of no TV for the new year makes me woe :(

Yeah, that would be a bit of a bummer. Fortunately, I got many British TV shows among my favourites, so they should sustain me some.
