Now that I think I've gotten all Christmas presents but one or two, I herebye give huge thanks for the fluffy socks, wallet, books, candy, hideous cowboy-Santa, cards and all the wishes for the holidays and New Year. Thanks, all :) You rock! (I hope all the stuff I sent has arrived.)

So who other then me thinks best companion poll is heading nowhere good? Surprisingly, it might be pro/anti-Ace that brings some wank this time around.

And for 'plagiarism nerve of the year', the award goes to... Tada! Wow. I am impressed. In a very bad sort of way. Yowza.

HAI WINTER. About time you showed up, slacker! Because that is all sorts of wrong.

ARGH NSB. Half an hour stuck on the train station this borning, freezing. Blaaaah.

Ann Frank as a musical? Oooohkay.

Top Gear's Clarkson admits mistake after losing money. Oops, heh. Last line made me laugh, though. I like a man that can be funny when admitting mistakes.

Still setting up my new computer. Getting all your links and programs anew ain't all easy, blergh. Which reminds me, got any recs? For stuff, links, wallpapers, files or whatever else a computer shouldn't be without.

Feeling like change of my LJ layout as well now. Hmpf. I am ever fickle.

as it worked last time, and got me to finish something, here's:

[Poll #1117025]

Majortity will rule on that one.

The poll numbers (at least those on the forum, dunno what people might be emailing) amuse me - Rose and Martha are both on a lot of lists but they're also getting negative votes which is keeping them just out of the top 5 and pretty much dead even; I wouldn't class Peri as a popular companion but nobody dislikes her enough to put her in last place and she's made several people's #1 spot (most of them shamelessly admitting it's for shallow reasons), giving her enough votes to tie with Jamie for 4th place. And Sarah Jane is somewhere on practically everyone's list and doesn't have a single negative vote, so she's my guess to win.

I reckon a remix would be fun. You may use any of my fics you like--or I can choose one if you prefer. ;)

I really hope the wank doesn't start again but a poll like that is asking for trouble.

It's good to see Ace getting such a strong showing though ;-)

As for stories - I'd love to see your multidoc one: I'm a sucker for multidoctor fic..

Plagiarizing from the dead? That truly is the lowest of the low. Even in the annals of plagiarists, that is truly monumental, massive, historic Fail.

Oh, yeah, the joys of customizing that new computer . . . or even just repartitioning and reinstalling Windows, which I plan to do shortly . . . auugh.

Wallpapers? I'm a wallpaper junkie with nearly 8 gigs of 'em, maybe I can point you to some good sources. ;-)

-- You do know about BBC's Planet Earth wallpapers, right?

-- There's Cognitive Distortion.

-- And Digital Blasphemy.

-- And WinCustomize.com. (But a word of advice: use caution with any of Stardock's products. I've known them to mess up an OS pretty badly.)

-- Also Creep.ru. You will need to use judgment about which ones are actually copyright violations. Also, you will need to weed out the naked women, and there's a depressing lack of naked men.

Decent, non-spyware-infested free download managers for big files are getting scarce nowadays, but I've found Free Download Manager to be fine.

And if you wanna change wallpapers regular, the most fuss-free app I've found is Panorama. Grab it fast if you want it -- the website owner's about to take everything down due to lack of interest.

I say Normality in November, because I get to see it before anyone else, so I may be super biased on that one. I'd like to see you finish all of them though, which I'm sure you will when you get time :)

Sadly my flist had acquainted me with the most pathetic tale of plagiarism ever already.

Write something. Anything. Your fic makes me happy no matter what (bonus points if Martha is in it).

Today I joined the club of train commuters and office workers. Froze my arse off in the train station, got leered at by horrid men in said station and got to stare at a computer screen for 7 hours.
Somehow, I still think it was a good first day.

Off to bed now.

ps:will I ever catch you online for a chat, N/N?

And you think you're having wonky weather? Last Wednesday we were buried under 3 feet of snow and today it was 64 degrees (so...that's what, about 17 degrees C?). Absolutely insane. Global warming? I don't know, but global wonky weather, that's for sure. :)

The plagiarizing was impressive. In a really really disappointing way.
