Oh, Battlestar Galactica. Be gentle to my heart, you're breaking it so much lately. And yet it's all good.

"Faith"? That was fabelous. Particulary the lovin' Agathons and Helo in charge and Cylons freaking out and leaning loss too and then last secene with Adama and Roslin and the bathrobes and the "we'll find it. Togther" and his reveal she made him believe and the smile he did that just killed me. (And those guards outside must be so sure the Prez is doing the Admiral, lol! Showing up in the middle of the night in sleepwear kinda does that.) Jeez, this show and ship has me hooked. Been a while since I felt that. It's not even about me lusting the guy, as is probably a part in my shipping tendencies in Doctor Who. (Tennant and Eccleston? Yeah, I'd get with that.) It's just two people who've lived and lost and love that has grown between them and it's lovely to watch even if it's fiction. Great, great chemistry helps, of course.

I'm such a hopeless romantic. /sigh

Must finish more fic. Also, must have icons from that episode.

Now I am off to run a kilometre for "Holmenkollstafetten" in stunning sunshine and get funky with work mates later.

Have a smashing Saturday!

Run!

Lol now aren't you glad you're shipping A/R and watching BSG? :D:D:D:D

Yes.

And also no because they're so gonna break my heart :P But what can you do - once you're in, you're in.

Plus it might totally be worth it, of course.

I agree with you about the episode, but I have to add that as a monotheist myself, the other scenes with Roslyn had me near tears--and I NEVER cry over television. The way this show dares to explore religious faith is amazing, and I hope it continues in this straightforward, uncompromising way.

I need BSG icons. Particularly Bill and Laura ones, damn it!

ITA with your first paragraph. I have my problems with depictions of faith in the media in general and even BSG's approach can be a bit problematic for me (for personal reasons I can't quite pinpoint), but on the whole they're doing an amazing job. It simply astounds me that they even dared to go there in the first place.

Yeah - even me the atheist find the BSG exploration of faith interesting, which says some.

[livejournal.com profile] galactica_icons is a start. Or steal some of me and [livejournal.com profile] falena84's, heh.

I totally picked the best episode as my first (almost) live BSG viewing experience.

Holy cow, that was intense. And almost perfect. MaryMcDonald did some nasty tricks to my poor little heart.

I hope I'll have more coherent thoughts after a second viewing, because at the moment all I can muster up is a breathless "Damn".

The relay competition must be over now, I just hope it wasn't as hot and humid up there. Because running for 1K in this heat would have been tough.

It was quite warm, actually. And I was running in a black thing, which was a bit silly. But it wasn't so humid, so I've done worse.

BSG is evil on the heart, it is.

Hope the run went well ;-)

And yes - Faith was excellent - and even Baltar didn't annoy me: in fact, I think he should make relaxation tapes...

Went totally fine.

He was kinda scarily hypnotic, actually. Interesting to see where it's all going with him. I wonder about a spoiler I heard, I do.
