So, I am like the slowest slowpoke in picking up new stuff, but I have finally got a del.icio.us account and it really is as smashing as you all told me to use.

But! I have moved computers and lost so many of my links and gotten new fandoms and to put it bluntly, I need links. I feel so sadly short on them.

Rec me fic! Doesn't matter if I've read it before, I've probably lost the link. You should have some idea what I like - character stuff, ship stuff, not the fluffiest kind. Doctor Who, Batttlestar Galactica, CSI (somewhat), bit of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, various other things you know I like. Rec me your own stuff too! Modesty is for Norwegians.

Please, please, please...? I offer cyber-adoration for all.

Also, have sent new fic to beta. You can blame that one on falena84 as well. She's on a roll of challenging me lately, it seems.

I did post quite a few BSG recs for Saz last night .

And if you look in my memories I have loads of fic saved there, neatly classified and everything. Plus, we share many fandoms and you know our fic tastes are compatible, at least.

Sadly, the only fandom I'm even remotely familiar with there is Stargate, and even then not enough that I think I could enjoy fic for it... Think I've only seen five episodes total.

I distinctly remember you telling me you had five fic ideas to develop, so it's not like you need help in the inspiration department.
But I can take out the whip and be very intimidating (despite the fact that I'm tiny and not at all scary-looking. And too easily defeated by tickling), if working under pressure is your kind of thing.

Oh, I always have ideas. Problem with me is to get me to work on them. Feeling like I'm doing an assignment seems to help at times, or just general interest. I'm easily lazy, oh yes.

Would you believe lotus79 just bitched to me about being into an unpopular pairing when her pick is Kara/Lee? I mean, honestly.

A/R seems to have quite the surge, yeah. From all accounts, the show seems to be actively feeding it, which just means lots more fic. Yay!

I was thinking about doing a Helo/Sharon & Adama/Roslin one as a sort of take on what love is - human love, Cylon love, life as love, blah blah. But it's very vague in my head still.

Very bad joke. :P And we aren't supposed to call it Ayers Rock anymore, it's Uluru. And I've never seen it, seeing as it would take about 3 days to drive there from here. Could fit the length of Italy in there and have 500km to spare. But I am being a smart arse and digressing.

She's just miffed I'm not writing it for her. Even when I stuck a little bit of it in my fic, she wasn't happy. Hmpf.

It is! But the wait for new episodes is kinda maddening then, because new episodes can bring new aspects to your ship all the time. Need more episodes!

Unvaguing is hard :P But the idea was sort of having Hera as the link - last episode revealed she too has those dreams Athena and Laura had, so I thought maybe having a fic with Hera as a sort of 'dreamwalker', actually projecting into what they're dreaming and take it from there with my usual ways. I wrote a tiny bit of that in the last fic, with Hera dreaming of Earth and I liked the idea.

Eh well, we'll see.

Oh come on, babe, not sharing ship is like tradition with us! When do we ever go for the same thing? I mean, even with Doctor/Rose you were totally into Five/Tegan and I wasn't. And before that, we got years of being into totally different things, right back to how we met.

I actually don't mind Kara/Lee. I like the UST and since they're both so pretty I have a thing for Kara/Lee smut. But it needs to be playing on the friendship aspect and have a lots of banter.

It's the angfest they bring about later on (circa S3) I can't stand.

Yes, yes, I know. Is Doctor/Rose the only ship we both landed on? I can't remember. And even then, as you say, I got distracted by the Fivelove.

And even before we met when we were both into Voyager and B5... different ships! LOL. But I do miss sharing ships. Don't think I've really had that since the ratfic days (and early 9/Rose days).

I actually think it is. Even with ratfic, I was Rachel/Frank and you Rachel/Jack. I mean, we'd still read each other's stuff and all, but we were on different boats. It's just that fandom was so much smaller there we all bonded anyway.

And I got you into DW as well, didn't I? It's like we're doomed to like the same things, but always go for different characters.

But hey, we've managed to be BFF years on despite all this non-sharing, so that says something right there.

I've got about 50 BSG recs and a dozen of "Doctor Who" stories in my LJ memories, although I don't know if they are to your taste: The BSG ones are mostly, but not quite exclusively Kara/Lee, and the DW stuff is mostly gen.

Heh. History is always messy. History curricula in schools down here often changedepending on what sort of government we have. And the kind of textbook is adopted in one class depends solely on the teacher. So yeah, depending on the political credo of your history teacher your first impressions of the world can be very much wrongly influenced, or partial at best.

Careful there. You need to know a lot more about Italy before suggesting a trade.
Luckily for you today I'm in a good mood, so I won't dwell on this.

However, want to know what the biggest problem with Italy is? It's full of Italians.

I like angst. It is a guilty pleasure--I once got crowned Queen of Angst. It might have even been Cam that did it... But then people do have different definitions of angst--I don't like it gratuitous and overblown, but I really don't do fluffy. Banter rocks, and so does friendship, but hearts and bunnies must be killed with fire.

And I know you guys wouldn't harsh my squee, but you won't really share it either. Oh well.

Read the recs, thankyou. I had found that first one already and have already read it three times. I am now industriously hunting more porn. And I'm going to hell because I won't be able to stop thinking about it all day tomorrow even in a room filled with 13year olds!
